They are doing server upgrades during their working hours in order to oversee the entire process. Not to mention this isn't only for NA/EU servers. They are doing everything at once.

What about 4 in the morning? As I said, most NA people will be asleep for most of it. Especially when you consider that almost half the people in the US live in the eastern time zone (and probably a much larger percentage of Canadians), so for them maintenance starts at 8.

EDIT: I mean, it's pretty obvious that they're just doing it at this time cause it's Japanese working hours, and it's pretty obvious no time will be good for everyone, but considering it's 10 hours long, it's a pretty sweet deal for most NAs. Would midnight to 10 or something be better? Sure, but the meat of it is still happening in the middle of the night.

What? It happens during na prime time and ends when most na are going to work or school. JP prime time is unaffected, which is par for the course with this company.

I understand why it's done like this, but w/e.

Was up late last night with a friend trying to see if somehow he could sneak into Leviathan (though it was noted it was closed) and was just like.. "Why are servers, with less population.. opening up randomly (goblin, cactuar, Midgard, etc) while Levi isn't.."

So strange. I guess Levi has more consistent concurrent players or something D: Stinks.

I used the logitech profiler to make my analog stick to this, then a rubber band around the cable and behind the back of controller around the stick to pull it down lol.

If you're getting up to go to work or school when it ends, that means you're probably going to bed like 2-3 hours after it starts, leaving 70-80% of it happening while you're asleep. It also probably means you'll have several hours after work today to play it before it shuts down. But if not, that means the servers will be up well before you need to go to work tomorrow. Either way, there's a solution, because most of the maintenance is HAPPENING IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT. I mean if you're a night owl, you must not have shit to do in the morning, and guess what? The servers will be up.

Worst complaint ever, especially since it's supposed to be fixing what the vast majority of this thread is rightfully complaining about, MOSTLY IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT.

Wow, Titan. My first time through it took me one wipe to figure out all his mechanics up to the Heart, but holy shit some people literally don't know how to learn. I went through three healers that didn't know what the fuck, a tank that didn't know how to hold hate for more than 10 seconds, and a bunch of suck. I'm not saying I didn't do something fucked up at least once, but shit, when a mob has point blank AoE and you are a healer - you don't stand next to him!

Then in the morning when everyone still can't make new characters on the servers they want we'll have even more complaining. Probably worse too.

Meh, shadows uncast(maelstrom) completed, try to give it in, does the jingle and everything but doesn't go away and let's me give it again, seems bugged.FFs, I wanted my exp <.<

edit: wtf mainquest from lvl 46 to 49, that's a harsh jump, ideas on how to get these 3 lvls without quests and not killing myself grinding? Fates <.<? where? <.<

Why is there so many things to load on my screen during fates? Players, Enemies, Minions & chocobos? enemies dont load because its loading all this useless crap first, who thought that was a good idea?

Wellp, multiple hours passed of 1017 errors. I ain't getting on tonight apparently.

I somewhat regret starting on a legacy server and not choosing a new one. Not sure that would've made too much of a difference though.
