This is what I was getting at. Sure, JP servers (which I play on lol) shouldn't be during JP prime time, but also it shouldn't take them 10 hours to do everything too. NA/EU servers should be done at a different time and again be not 10 hours long. It's not rocket science. It's prep work. Do as much as you can before you take down the servers to minimize maint time. I know they need to test shit but come on. Granted I'm not really complaining they're trying to fix the problems here, just about how they go about doing it. Taking a week after official launch to do this is crazy. When shit is broken, you over night what parts you need and make your employees work overtime to get it all working right. I mean it's a MMO launch. They had to have sent an email to the staff saying "Good job guys, we made it. Don't make any plans for the next two weeks because you know shit will hit the fan and you'll be working here 24/7 until we resolve the initial issues." It's just bad business, especially for a re-launch where you're aiming for the best possible press/word of mouth/play experience/everything you can get.
