FFXIV Random Complaint Thread: Look forward to it

I Don't mind them being in Fates, i like that i recognize the names and can be "OH! STRIDER BEWTS", But at the same time, them just being... nothing more than a 3 minute number mashing to more exp/gil/seals feels kinda sad for me. I mean, I know its not a big deal and all but i really feel FFXIV's world misses a lot when its this big wonderful place... devoid of anything interesting to explore in it. Just... more of the same NQ mobs.

I miss NMs... I don't miss what they brought, and i don't want anything close to 24hr+ NMs, hell I don't want anything close to 2hr+ NMs, and I Don't want camping back.... So I can safely say I'm okay with there being no NMs even though i miss it because the gains outweigh the loses.

But i know where Nyan is coming from.

Summoners, do they seem to be the Job that has attracted the most retards to other people? I had one last night in Amdapor Keep who only kept Bio 1 up, spamming Ruin 2 and using Energy Drain for his damage abilities with Aether Charges, I question him about his ability rotation and just get him call me a noob. I have grouped with some really good summoners but about 90% of the time most of them seem fucking clueless.

Guess I, being on Lamia, won't even be graced with the chance to accidentally do dungeons with people from BG on gilgamesh. Duty finder just keeps getting worse and worse in my mind.

This is common in WoW as well, cross realm only includes the servvers in your battle group.

It's more about them being formed after the fact that annoys me the most. Free server transfers would eliminate most of the contempt that stems from problems that only exist because of server bullshit, but I ain't holding my breath.

If they do "Free Server Transfers" like everyone wants, they would only do it to Brand New Empty Servers. These servers would be chosen in advance. It's not like they would help you play with your friends easier.

They said in their post update noted that to deal with the rush of 230k people trying to login at once after maint they are severely throttling login for a very short time

Is the maintenance all done? If so, anybody having issues logging in? Same errors etc? Also, can new players create on legacy servers or is it just 1.0 players only?

This. They aren't going to allow free transfers to populated serves just so people can play with their friends. First they are going to need to reduce population on those servers that are overcrowded before they can open up even paid transfer to them.

Got the GF onto Leviathan at 6:05am after being locked out for almost 2 weeks. Most people posting above are getting in with maybe a queue.

I got in right away and I'm on a jp server. During DF runs it seems like the initial CS's load a lot faster but that hardly affects game play.

World full at 7:50am here as well. Though judging by the above statement that should be expected.

I just hope they fix the horrible lag spikes, and all of my music/sound effects not working randomly.

Stupid question if anyone can answer it, does not deserve its own thread. I see youtube videos and screenshots of people with what looks like more than 2 Hotbar lines. I've seen icons going vertically down the left side of the screen, and then the screen shot above there is 3 lines horizontal where the hot bar usually sits.

How the hell do I accomplish that on PS3?

It's in the Character Configuration menu. It's part of the system menu, but I don't know how to access of PS3 since I don't play on PS3. I'm guessing you can use the pointer mode to click the system menu, but I can also guess there is a button specifically for accessing the system menu.

Got in immediately but game was lagging (probably cause my computer needed restarting) so bad it was unplayable, logged out through the menu and exited game to restart computer, try to log back in, 3102.

Tried logging in on another character on a separate NA server, 3102, tried logging in on JP server, 1017.

FIX YO SHIT SE
