I live in a love/hate relationship with my retainers. They like bringing me crap fish, but sometimes they surprise me.

Yesterday I got my third cottage, Manor music stool, a gemscope and an ADS Illuminant. I guess this time she goes to the random praise - managed to find other 7 retainers who aren't retards.

They can actually bring back the entire Illumination Module ready-to-install as well. Sent my Conjurer 36 retainer out on Quick Exploration once and he came back with it.

I want the Garuda mount, since she's my favorite avatar in the game right now, favorite to fight, and green happens to be my favorite color.

First time I saw the mount drop was post-echo, helping to carry a couple people through. One of the carries got it.

So this was amazing for me. I haven't played this game since before 2.1. A couple friend's randomly got back into it, and on a whim with a bunch of free time, I decided to join them. Today, I updated and restarted my game (all 7.7GB's of the update) and just got online to look around for a bit. I saw a shout for a party doing the Hydra portion of the Relic (which was basically the last thing I got to before I stopped way back when).

Now here is where it got awesome. Not only did they let me join (at a measley iLvl52). But they helped me get my first weekly hunt done (which helped me get 2 accessories to get to ilvl60), basically powered me through not only the Hydra, but HM Ifrit, Garuda and Titan too! Did enough of those tasks (for the first time too for all the extra Myth), and within maybe 2~3 hours of having gotten back into the game, got my Relic Gae Bolg.

Obviously it's a tiny accomplishment compared to what the game has as far as weapons go. But it was seriously amazing to not only meet so many nice people, but have them help me accomplish so much without even asking for anything in return. Seriously made my day

As much as I wanted to have a personal house, I called it in my heart that Yoshi-P wouldn't let me down on this chance to make players cry out of rage. That's going to feed OF fail for a good time, and I kind of don't mind just keep doing my honest gil gathering until "the big day".

Try on and Search for Item is everywhere, we got more glasses (and they have sane recipes, quite a surprise), and they enabled mounts in housing areas. Now I can use my Magitek against houses of content-selling FCs.

They may have a strange desire to shrek players every now and then, but those smaller patches bring so much good stuff.

/sigh is the one I keep missing. All the existing approximations have animations that are way out on the Calculon end of things, when I just want a quick "I wish that had gone better, but I'll be over it in a sec", heh.
