They could solve the issue by being like "that other MMO" and just dialing back normal a bit (more accessible to casuals/bads/pugs) and letting savage drop higher ilvl versions of gear to give the hardcore players a reason to throw themselves at it each week.

the reason for not allowing higher ilvl drop is because this will GREATLY seperate the community than it already have (basically none for NA server to begin with)

Statics will break always here and there, people will always wanna reform and savage + normal basically becomes 2 different raids with same lockout and people will never be able to fit into elite groups to learn as humans doesnt have patience

moreover, because of higher ilvl, it makes normal mode absolutely useless. savage mode will then become the normal mode and people will ask for ultimate extremes like latest live letter

imo, adding a 3rd drop is the only possible way for this to work. or an additional sand of time type of drop in coil 3

and yea i can totally see a mount coming lol

Or how about. Loot tokens for Savage. If you're good enough to clear hardmode, you bypass RNG. Meh?

Random praise; Beat Ramuh finally with solo tank method and got t7 down to 3% In our first attempt at it. Trying to get my almost full static caught up we spend hours wiping on t6, call last run of the night and get the win. Grinding Ramuh for an hour and some change, call last run and get the win...I firmly believe the people I play with don't focus at all when we play until they are forced to :/

I thought I had grabbed everything off my 2nd legacy account during early access back in the day, but I apparently forgot to rehire my retainers (didn't try very hard due to the server problems, I guess). So when I reactivated it a couple days ago for a short term boost in SB productivity, imagine my joy to find a full inv tab of fleece and some cracked materia: 21 t4's and 40-50 each of the other tiers!

reminds me of the time i was moving and almost threw out an old cell phone box i was sure was empty. looked just in case cause it was a little too heavy and found 3000 dollars lol

we get them like every other week pretty much. still have not seen mnk body drop except the one time i pugged (out of never times).

i did want the fending legs ooooo bad since started coil cos of the delicious acc

and then finally gave up after hunts came and just make a noct

end up after i made the noct, the allagan legs drop the week after
