To the drunk as hell tank that actually tanked pretty well in neverreap. Actually this was a premade, with me being the only 'random' and we cleared it in 20 mins.
Probably dodged tornadoes better drunk.
My god.. the final boss in Heavensward. How the hell are they going to top this fight? It out epic'd Bayonetta, which I thought was fucking impossible.
So I got in that DF Alex 1 (normal) PT as tank, I was OT for both fights. Faust was at 33% when the 2nd add poped, giving me a max of 3 adds to take. 2nd boss, Oppressor 0.5 popped when Oppressor was at 39%.
I am not using any recording program but I wish I did, for a DF party I find it incredible. I am still asking myself if I was well awake and could count properly.
I guess what I'm ultimately saying is that P+ would've done it better.
I never even obtained the KOTR summon back then, I didn't have the patience to breed a gold chocobo. I remember my cousin always heavily relying on it to defeat everything, and me being annoyed that it took too damn long.
It was until my recent 2013 playthrough of the PC version of FF7, I actually obtained it myself via killing the Ruby Weapon and getting Master Materia set.
I would say it was a combination of the entire plot itself, the retardedly good music, fighting a giant King Thordan while he's wielding that badass 2H sword with just one hand, his 12 knights attacking you in the middle of it just add to the insanity. It was 4AM in the morning while i was doing this fight, I was half dead asleep and it brought me back instantly.
After I beat Bayonetta, I was over it that very same day. Not trying to knock it in anyway, I love it but..
Difference between the two? I can't stop thinking about this epic fight, and how ridiculous Extreme will be.

Seriously, the only way that could have been any better is if I threw that fucker into the sun.
You're probably right, but I am still impressed that SE even went this far, the KOTN haven't been used as a summon or much of anything since FFXI. I hear they make an appearance in Type-0 but I never quite got into that game.
Finding out you can play the choco theme song with your chocobo by switching it's stances... so crafty SE, so crafty.
Healer warns us pizza might arrive up before our fractal run is over.
13 minutes later it's over. And omg the poor second boss got destroyed so fast.
I love it when I get in awesome groups. What I'd do to have that all the time.
That's pretty good, I thought a 22 minute neverreap run with all randoms was insane, but that's probly crazier.
Yeah, as someone who never played the other FFs, singularity reactor was meh. it was cool, but i burst out laughing when thordan does the charge thing in the second phase. he just kind stumbles forward flailing the sword around trying to hit you. Really highlights the whole "old man who knows nothing about swordplay" aspect of his character.
Ravana ex, though. By far my favorite encounter in the game atm. Never been good at dancing before.
Easily the highlight of the fight, he went from swinging it with one single hand, to stumbling over using two hands. Thordan thought he was unbeatable using KOTR as a primal form for all of his knights. But I mean the entire build up to the fight, including the vault dungeon where you fight some of the knights individually was just too good IMO. I really enjoyed the story a lot more this time around.
The downside is they never give you the fight against the one knight you would most want to fight one on one. It's like they forgot who they had been portraying as the main knight and what happened at the end of the vault.
