I don't think that last phase of A8 could be any more of a homage to '70s Super Robot series in general without copyright infringement.
I love it.

I'm way behind but just got to Idyllshire. Saw Damselflies and was all 'VALKURRRRRRRRRRRRRRRM!' and then saw the sarutabaruta crawlers and I might have squeeed lol.The cs with matoya, gawd the musics are so damn great. This zone by itself was worth buying HW.
Made almost 20 mil on new mats yesterday. The shit sells for stupid amount of money and is rediculously easy to get. Feeling like this right now: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aPX5mRSQ3pw
I really love the new cooldown timers.
New dungeons feel comfy to tank. Cleared Antitower in a completely blind party in 22 minutes, so I'm looking forward to that getting brought down as gear scores increase.

I legit thought they might've gotten the Powerman5000 dude since he's apparently done music for video games before LOL
I have no idea how to link directly from facebook because I don't use it enough to warrent reserving that knowledge.

second post from top, maybe someone more facebook savy than I can do it.
Yeah found that including "Well Square Enix is going to get a fun phone call from an attorney." so looks like they're gonna pursue it.
Also you link it by clicking on the time posted, similar to linking a guildwork post.

Jesus fucking Christ. Keep your shitty lawsuits away from my Soken.
goddamn LOLThe composer for this track has one other game on his resume. Mario hoops 3v3. He's a hack and this is a black eye on square enix.
the edge is calling tonight
I actually like the song a lot, but lol.
It's so hilarious that Powerman 5000 is getting butthurt when it actually has people talkinga bout them for the first time in years.
It's only the first portion of the track that has a similar tone and speaking voice, then it goes off on its own thing. It's a little homage, and it's not the first time a track in XIV has done such a thing.
Quite liking the subcommand customization at any rate, put all the useless shit I never use into the second list.
To be fair, the songs sound incredibly similar, even if the lyrics aren't copied word-for-word. And there is a lot of straight-up plagiarism that goes on in the Japanese music industry. I even just found about this one, the Japanese song is one I've listened to frequently but I had no idea it was copied wholesale from a Kpop group (pretty sure the news that it's a "remake" is a cover-up at best). You do see this kind of thing pretty much all the time in Japanese music, so it's not incredibly surprising.
Also hilarious is the dev post on OF

tl;dr
Best part though is several replies after of OF folk going "ok thanks yoshi for clearing this up", as if saying something like that has ever been believable or has ever made someone go "oh, ok, we'll tell the lawyers to forget about it then"Originally Posted by YoshiP
