I gotta praise the Drg job quests this time around. Got rid of a lot of the angst and brooding and melodrama and etc and made it a fun, charming adventure with a little dragon buddy. It was pleasant and enjoyable and I actually bothered to keep track of it

I've enjoyed most of the SB job storylines so far. Though I thought AST's was kinda meh and WHM is shaping up to be more of the same CNJ yawnfest (it was actually pretty good in HW though). SAM and PLD didn't wow me either so far. I really like the premise of the DRK, SCH, SMN, and DRG quests especially, and WAR's opening quest had me laughing out loud. The job quests have always been hit or miss on how good they are...I think my favorite one is still the 50s DRK quests. Dunno if any will top those for me (well, specifically the culminating battle).

RDM's story was okay at best, nothing great. If nothing else I'm pleased they upped the fight difficulty a bit.

I always found SCH story to be very mediocre. SMN is a little more interesting lore wise for me and the new NPC in this set is pretty fun.

    Two ways to cheese it
    Spoiler: show
One is to have whoever is in the rock mark themself. The other is that the gaol'd person is always the bottom-most rock on the enemy list. Mechanic should have put the gaol'd person's camera on the center of the arena or something, and then fix the enemy list thing.
    Actually,
    Spoiler: show
At least twice last night (across 10 wins), the gaol'd person was on the 3rd rock in the enemy list. Nobody knows why it happened like that, but it did. Marking the gaol is foolproof though.

Did you guys wipe a lot that run? That might have messed with how it shows up on the enemy list but it's still always the last rock. If Susano is at the top of the list, it's the last rock. If Susano is anywhere else on the list, it's the rock above his name which is considered the most recently created rock on the list.

If you've done titan and been gaoled you've been susano gaoled. That should answer your questions.

Nah, all the DPS were raid members with VOIP so we could yell at eachother to break a specific one. And... I didn't actually notice that, good catch.

This happens every now and then in the world of random duty finder groups I live in but it's always still so satisfying when after watching several headless chickens run around and get hit by every AoE so we are all going for a wipe when a well-timed and a little bit lucky swiftcast raise from your friendly neighbourhood summoner gets a healer up at that lowpoint when pretty much everyone else has died but LB3 bar is full and suddenly everyone finds their focus, magically remembers how to dodge from that point on and you come back from what would had been a wipe to finish the fight like you should.

Like someone said when you get hit and screw up people will get tense, panic and make even more mistakes. Sometimes dying allows you a second to catch your breath and refocus, so might be one of the reasons for situations like that

you know, this thread title is a joke, but technically speaking melee RDM is a very, very slight DPS increase.

    JUST SAYING

I tend to die when other people die first. I get tense and annoyed when people act stupid and then I of course start making mistakes because I'm not playing at my best lol

Not having to dodge one attack every fight and interrupting a cast probably comfortably negates any melee damage

    I SAID TECHNICALLY

you are correct, tho. plus the sheer badassery of leaping in and out of the fray is worth a .05% DPS loss, easily

I ended up in Mor Dhona to wrap up RDM quest line and hadn't yet experienced 2star mount speed.

    I couldn't run in a straight line because I couldn't stop laughing. Shit's fast.

    Seriously, it's nuts

I picked Mor Dhona as my first unlock because I figured it was the ARR zone I was most inclined to still visit intermittently. The zooooom was a real

Refers to the speed you can travel on the ground, indicated by one or two stars in the "mount speed" list in your menu. The first star is unlocked through doing story missions, and the second star is unlocked in ARR areas through Allied Seals and in HW with Centurio Seals.
