FFXIV Random Praise Thread: Time to melee RDM

^ This. I finished the story last weekend (with a full group of new people, so no annoying people yelling "skip the cutscenes"), and damn that was a good ending. Was grinning like an idiot the entire dungeon.

Anyone know the names of the tracks played in the last 3~4 boss fights? Really want to listen to those again

Finished this chapter of the story last night and it was AWESOME. Nice trailers for where we're going next and great fun. Happened to get really lucky after an awful run with a princess warrior who bailed at the last series of fights and lucked into a fully geared group running a friend through. Great fights and great cutscenes.

Ended up in an "Join in progress" Praetorium DF where there was a full party sans tanks. Hung around for about a minute before I mentioned that this had happened to me earlier. Someone piped up and explained that the tanks left because someone decided to watch a cutscene. We were all at the beginning so I didn't really think it mattered and if you're gonna DF Praetorium/Castrum, getting mad at people for watching cutscenes is retarded.

After berating said tanks amongst each other, DRG pretty much said fuck it, let's give it a shot anyway and we did. Ended up steamrolling the first part of Praetorium without a tank. Got to the first boss and started discussing how we were gonna go about it when a tank finally showed up. I'm honestly convinced that we might've been able to pull it off because I had never been a party that was so competent AND without their heads up their asses, it was great. Wasn't exactly a speedy finish but made me disappointed more than ever that you can't friend people cross-server.

haha i was playing with friends and they got annoyed by me for watching cutscenes, altho they didnt stop me. i did end up missing on one fight cos they forgot to wait for me. halfway along the way i just decided to skip everything (cos i'd already spoiled myself) and watch later in my room.

i will admit it's not such a good idea to have that many cutscenes in a dungeon, but this IS the final boss of the game. i suppose people will be less antsy about it if most of the people doing it on DF aren't doing it for tomes.

The first fight you're looking for is a Instrumental (and possibly arranged?) version of Nael van Darnus "The White Raven"'s battle theme from 1.0.

Neither final storyline boss battle theme is available on Youtube (it keeps getting taken off) however there was a post on reddit of the entire soundtrack rip which had it included along with the Boss theme from Cape Westwind and CM and others such as the Beastmen Stronghold themes and Binding Coil music.

There's a massive amount of common tunes amongst songs in this game. I wouldn't call it a remix, as they just share the melody, tying the music and locale's importance together.
