Greetings,

I have some additional information about the upcoming adjustments to the Ready Check feature to share.

The development team is currently working on the below:
Changing the feature so it cannot be used while in battle.
Changing the feature so the name of the person who initiated it is displayed.
Addition of a "wait" or "hold" button.
Changing the feature so when you close the Ready Check window it does not automatically pop back up. (The tally results will be displayed in the chat log when doing this.)

The team is currently looking into whether they can implement these prior to patch 2.2.

I have to say it : going from 9 fps to 113 fps on titan makes a huge difference.

I can't imagine playing with 9fps, even my piece of shit pc with a gpu like 8gens back gets more than that

It's really weird the things they'll hotfix and the things they won't consider adding unless it's a numbered patch. Happy they're listening and on the ball a lot more now, but still weird.

I think its more that they don't test things with 12 year olds, or me, first.

The very first second I was in ct and saw the ready check feature, I knew what I had to do.

I take the somewhat positive position where they at least think about the possibility but go "wwwwww, our players would never do that, let's work on the next thing" and then are very surprised. Again, and again, and again...

I take the position that they think about it, but maliciously leave it in the game to drive up forum post count to make their game seem more popular and active than it is, and make it seem like they're willing to listen and make improvements on these suggestions.

I would also say that they just don't think about the possible abuse. Mainly because the JP's dont abuse it. I play on Tonberry and not once have I seen ready check abuse happen through PF or DF.

I've never seen anyone outside myself or my friends abuse ready check, either. Mostly because we do before they have a chance to.

Should have been done day 2 of the patch. You wanna troll, do it the old way and grab a dragon in CT before everyone is in, that just makes everyone happy.

You don't know suffering until your alliance vote abandons at the eyes+succubus because they wiped 3 times blaming ready checks for being unable to dodge aoes, then one party refuses to enter unless the checks stop.

The final story dungeon was fucking fantastic. As someone who raided progression in WoW for a while I quite enjoyed some of the mechanics.

I hear this a lot about the JP community in general. Culture difference, for sure. Unfortunately, SE has to deal with the wonderfully outgoing, do-good community from this country. Teehee.

Finally got a person who didn't bitch and moan when they got kicked after their 3rd strike on a Titan-Ex party. PRAISE THE LORD.

We were the first to beat Vrtra without cheating on our server, the JPs would sit there and stun bot spike flail. When I finally wrote my own bot that could claim things before they spawned, we only ended up getting half the claims. JP fish bots made bank for YEARS sitting just outside windy in plain sight. We didn't even know things like tparty were possible until we saw screenshots of JP players with it.

The difference I noted is that JPs were too polite to call each other out for cheating, while NA are too quick to accuse each other of cheating.

Nobody was on yet this morning who wanted/still needed to run CT, so I DF'd. Come bone dragon, a tank in another party said they would MT. Yadda yadda, I'm DRG so I don't care. A tank in my party checks them and then says something to the effect of "fuck no, you darklight PLD!" We commence Bone Dragon, I honestly didn't pay attention to who tanked it, or if any tank died I just killed skeletons and went about my business.

As we're running to Atomos, the tank in my party is still complaining. I check the "darklight PLD" and they honestly have Darklight Boots, and a DL accessory or two. Rest are CT, Ultima, or myth gear. We get through Atomos with no trouble (pleasant surprise!) and start setting up for Thanatos. The tank in my party is still talking shit. I initiate a vote kick on him, and it passes. New tank pops, and we proceed to do the rest of the dungeon with a problem and a much quieter alliance chat. Nice to know that the vote kick system can actually work as intended occasionally.

The "darklight" PLD in question ended up tanking Iron Giants on Behemoth. Sure, he couldn't snag hate instantly...but he honestly didn't do poorly either. We all start somewhere.

As a hoplite/Lord warrior (with DL accessories) I constantly tank Bone Dragon because it is wtf-easy. Even his phase 3, while stronger, still doesn't kill me. No one has ever called me out on it yet...I've actually tanked everything except KB and Acheron (is that the last guy? whoever the last guy is) just fine.

Also I don't have Provoke yet lol.
