Sorry to bump this older thread but, we wanted to let you know that in patch 2.2 we will be removing the auto-logout feature.

Not sure if praise or complaint.

If they're smart, they'll let you configure it like you could in XI, if you actually had some use for that feature.

If I remember right... XI was on my default but you could set the logout time or turn it off completely. Not sure why they did away with it for XIV.

But seriously, when they remove it I'll just be afk'ing sleeping on the bed in the Large FC Housing.

Because it was a server congestion countermeasure to boot people who are afk to make room for those who aren't.

Now they just need to make it so rested EXP is generated if you are idle for more than an hour.

Was just surprised looking at my Log Window settings under Character settings and finding out that you can disable displaying recast error message under the profanity filter. I had suggested this idea on the OF a while back, not sure if I was the actual cause of this change.

You were not, it's been there since Beta phase 4.

Since there's no random achievement thread (or i completely missed it):

Attempted Coil for the first time since getting to level 50 as i76 blm. Went through 2 separate parties and 8+ wipes on Cad before we finally beat it. Then did 3 healers on t2 enrage and was cake. Got ring and boots of casting :D

I was wondering what the hell the kobold mount would be, figured it would be something mechanical. Totally didn't expect something like that though, bravo SE.

Didn't they show off concept art of that mount a few live letters ago? I'm still more curious about the Sahagin mount since all we've seen is a conch cannon.
