would it be a viable thing to make macros on blackmage to do /facetarget or whatever the command would be to face something after a casting line? so /ac "fire" /facetarget ? or would there be some magical dps loss doing this, I'm already hammering the fuck out of the button I figure something like that couldn't hurt.

The game has an option to face target upon the start of a cast, unless you're talking about a macro that has a wait installed for insurance before it faces target.

You'd be better off just making your facetarget its own keybind (like I did with ' or the default F), or only macroing it with one spell and making that your facetarget spambutton. Macroing takes out the feature of queueing up GCD actions so it's best to do it as little as possible (cue BRD debate).

It really only matters if you're specifically a caster playing with Legacy controls, or you have the aforementioned "auto-face when initiating actions" or whatever turned off. Standard can just hold rightclick to keep facing or something.

I see, I'll just remap it to Q or something, my ` is set to closest target and tab is to cycle, just something I got used to with tanking, I can't think of a time I've ever used strafes in this game.

You could try writing a turbo-button script for facetarget in something like AutoHotkey, and see how that works with someone running a mob through you.

Would beat mashing the key anyways.
