I've noticed this myself. If you leave fast enough, you generally won't get the timeout. It's a bit random, though.

The trial roulette has a penalty if you leave though which is unfortunate.

That's true, at least Ishgard was involved to a surprising degree. Nonetheless, I was surprised that they designed an entirely new bridge for the fight; I always thought it would just take place on the bridge in Eastern Thanalan.

Odin already attacks other ones.

decided to pug coil all day today to try and get some alt jobs geared... god, it was mostly horrible with terrible players and all I got was MNK belt until the last 2 runs with some bg ppls. Did Turn 2 as BLM, Body/Feet dropped for me. Switched to PLD cause the other left, Legs/Ears dropped to me, lolol! 4 drops in b2b runs. super lootwhore.

My shitty luck in 2.1 has turned around in 2.2 so far. Finally got my mnk t4 drops in 1 farming pt. got levi bow and fists, trying to get spear and hope for mirrors.
