Well actually I lied. MNK is the only job that can't be defeated by themselves in Leviathan (on account of not having a ranged attack).
I've killed myself 2 times on Leviathan as bard when I popped B4B and didn't look at what I was targeting.
Joined DF Ifrit Ex and got a 7/8 FC group that went 1/2 on the kill (wipe not my fault). No more Garu/Tit/Ifrit for me. Hurray!
Woot! Fan event going to be held in London :D
Finally tried King Mog EX over the weekend on my character. Each time was a one-shot. 1/1 on healing ribbon and casting ribbon!
The lodestone is amusing sometimes. Does it not propertly identify some dyes or something? Found this guy while trawling the forums today; his icon was a floating head, so I looked up his character and found this.

Sadly, he's obviously on DRG, but the gear displayed was for a BLM, so I don't know what was being worn. Anyone know how that was done? lol
That's a Gae Bolg in the background. The Lodestone will fuck up and the equipped gear / displayed gear won't sync up. Judging by the pic you'd have to find whatever he was wearing on DRG. Trying to glean what items he used to make the invisibility potion from his BLM wouldn't work.
There was a bug a while back where dying Hetairos gear any of the beastmen dyes would cause that to happen, but it was fixed. I suspect something like it happened again.
Carried Headspace through T5 last night before he ever even won T4. 15% echo is hilarious. Did solo tank for the first time without any research into it, forgot how to play PLD and almost never used CDs for DS. Np at all.

Much better then your pict AoE! =p
Ontopic: just came out of a brayfox HM which went very badly, the PLD was totaly derping and the healer + the other DPS started to be mean to him because he couldn't get the mechanics of the boss or keep hate from me (BLM.)
I just decided to take the initiative and explain to him carefully what it was about (without swearing/saying "you should"/any other patronizing comment) and he listened, which prove that not everyone will tell you to fuck off.
The guy told us that his previous party kicked him mid run (it was his 2nd time in brayfox HM.)
My explanation took 3-4 lines or 2 mins and then after that, no more aggro loss, and we one shoted the last boss lol. When I exited the DJ I was rewarded with 3 players commendations.
I know its nothing, but for me its alot because it show that people are reacting very positively to any situation (good or bad) if you put a minimum of effort and team play to solve any problem.
I just wish more people could do that on a daily basis.
Thanks guys.
Got my carry through T5 and Titan EX yesterday. Twas a good day
Good shit Heady, grats :>
I'm not undermining your effort to explain or anything but I was interested in what was he exactly failing at? That last boss in there wasn't all that special or complicated, and as much as I am trying right now to find a specific reason I'm unable to come up with anything that is killing him or making it difficult for you all. I can only imagine he was dying for not standing the middle during the masses of bombs? It's not possible to die from anything else I don't think. The only other thing I can think of is when he gets hit by the "hit and run" move and he gets bounced around multiple hits (I died on WHM like this lol).
He was tanking the boss in a way that the boss would face the middle everytime, the 2 others players were /facepalmworthy enough to stay where they were and complain about it insteed of making 2 steps in any direction to avoid rifle/flame, because you know the mentality right? I.e: The tank don't do this properly so lets make sure to wipe & blame him.
As I am myself primarily a WAR, I just explained to him my tank view of the last boss and gave him a few tips, which good reflex to have after some boss moves in order to protect the rest of the team whatever what is their playstyle.
I don't know if that make sense to you. Its a tank responsibility to make the boss face a direction other than where the group is, alike titan (which is what I said to him btw.) At least in this case if something go wrong you can tell the DPS to shut up when they are lolworthy.
I really think some people dont watch the game when doing flux... Iv seen bards, blm, smn all stand dead center and get hit hundreds of times. kinda silly, but then again DF is DF. So who really cares.
