Wasn't planning on it as my static basically fell apart at the start of the patch, but one of my fgc boys got me a clear for t6! No loot and only the third time I even went into t6 so good enough for me.

that's what PF is for. the community is too vast for that expectation out of DF, if that offends you grow a thicker skin.

No. PF allows you to create a learning group with other people who don't know what the fuck they're doing. Why would you use DF to screw over 7 other people and make an ass of yourself? It doesn't make any sense. You're not even going to learn anything because people will leave after you wipe the group repeatedly for stupid shit.

2) DF is more "anonymous"
3) Maybe you can get a carry
4) setting up a PF and putting your name on the line in public is scary

that's what people are thinking when they queue for DF blindly.

PF also allows you to create a group with other people who do know what they're doing (in theory, at least). Sounds like that's what you should be using if you care about people meeting any sort of expectations.

You can argue all day about the correct use of DF but nothing's going to change the fact that you can't stop inexperienced players from using it. You know exactly what you're getting into when you let the game create your group for you.

I expect to get people who haven't mastered the fight when I try to DF stuff, and I'll try to tell them what to do to help them out. But going in completely blind without even watching a video for old content is straight up pants on head. It's almost as bad as the people who don't speak up when I ask "Does everyone know the fight?" and then they keep dieing to stupid shit because they don't know the fight. If you would have just mentioned what you don't understand, I could spell it out for you.

Random praise: Had some 4:35 2flox runs today with only one i110 weapon and both DPS were BLM. Kicker was it was a PF too. Average after like 20ish runs was somewhere around 4:50. Pleasantly surprised. Also hit 312 DPS on the second boss as WAR with Animus, that made me pretty happy.

Even if you get like 5 Seals per monster and need 500 to get a sand, it's still one sand less to go for into friggin CT.
