Both are really easy, but CM is like "let me watch TV, follow the group, and mash buttons" easy. I need to do more Praetorium; CM is becoming nearly as mind-numbing as Hamlet. Shout groups are 90% CM and I'm lazy.

I think Praetorium is simpler for most due to not needing to sneak past, pull, or cannon anything.
I'm past hydra, can I go back and help some friends with it or will I be locked out?
thx
Decisions, decisions:
Just got Omnilex. Is it better to +1 it, save those tomes for a DPS relic upgrade instead, or blow myth tomes on pallette swap AF?
My understanding is that Weapon Damage is lightyears ahead of base stats in terms of effectiveness, and +3 damage on the book could be a big bump. I also try to DPS as much as possible as SCH, so the benefits would not be limited to healing effectiveness.
On the other hand, it would be a glowy book.![]()
If you're already sporting full darklight, +1 is likely the best way to spend your myth for the job. Otherwise it might be worth crunching the numbers if AF2 or one the accessories is a comparable upgrade for less cost.
I'd go with Relic+1 (because weapon DMG is king), but if you can upgrade 2 slots for the same myth cost it's probably comparable.
Full DL Dragoon, so went +1 on the relic. Love my glowstick.
I'm doubtful but could I do titan hard on another job to get the relic item needed? Or do I HAVE to go on my quest job.
whiiich is pretty lame considering all you're doing is collecting an item from the fight... not imbuing the unfinished product like Hydra
I see this more as bad writing than anything. SE obviously wants you to be skilled on the job you're about to be handed a relic for, so it makes sense to have you defeat the primals on this job to prove you aren't shit. But they could have at least written it in a way that makes it feel like it's right to be doing it on that job.
CM - 30-35 minutes with a good group, 40-45 with a PUG. 100% easy win.
Prae - 20-25 minutes with a good group, 40-45 with a PUG. Chance for 60+ minute run if you get terrible first timers through Duty Finder.
My FC does 2 Praetorium 20-25 minute runs nightly in one hour from 7-8 PM before we start official events. It's a nice, quick 200 philo for everyone before we break into groups for events.
If I want to do a prae run and I don't have enough FC people, I just go to revenant's toll and use shouts to flesh out the party. This way you don't wind up with people who are trying to do story -- still do wind up getting people who don't know how to run it but at least they are skipping cutscenes.
Just popping in to offer my 2 gil again on Relic+1 vs other Myth stuff. Check "Heal testing part 2" link in my sig (if you're not up to date on Arcanist thread). Assuming that sort of stat relation holds true for other relics (might not), you should expect upgrade to Relic+1 to be equivalent to (your primary damage stat) +~20.
Definitely does not for DPS. The +1 WD is equivalent to roughly ~6-7 DEX/STR (+1 Bow gives you an additional 4 DEX on top of the 1 WD). I have a spreadsheet with the formulas on it that I use a lot and I've check it with Valk's calculator on the DM site. I'm surprised the impact would be that large for healing.
