Talk to the "forge" next to the Relic Weapon NPC, and it'll let you access to the relic weapon +1 quest (you need to have a relic weapon on you tho). I think it's a 300 token item for AF+1. (maybe the 900 token darklight one too).
Yes you must be on your job for the quest or no credit. I learned the hard way.
Chim is easy I did it with a pickup. Just stun or silence chim on voices and you can't lose. Bard silence is very good as it's instant
Does anyone know if coke/potash/minium is required for the Relic Weapon quest chain? Apparently these materials were required for the 1.0 quest chain, and they are currently being sold for Allagan Tomestones of Philosophy in Revenant's Toll.
Trying to plan out how I am going to spend my tomestones.
There is a 900 token item that I wouldn't be surprised if it was used for Relic, the others, no.
edit just beaten
I can say that crafting leves can give you the base item to craft the 1 star synth weapon. I have a blacksmith leve that has Blunt Aeolian Scimitar as its reward item.
This is an interesting bit of news... Although, looking at the price history on these items most started out quite low as I imagine no one knew what they were for so just sold them and now they are starting to spike. As the population caps out I see the market getting flooded with these faster than they are being used, but still interesting to see that they added an additional path to get these.
Makes sense, the upgrade is also 900 tokens.
any tips on Hydra fight?
Dhorme Chimera Fight
It is roughly the same as all other chimeras.
You will want to save all interrupts for the Voice abilities.
Ram's Voice - This cannot be outranged and will hit for around 3500-4000 dmg to all party members. This needs to be interrupted or it will be a wipe. Note: Do not confuse this with Ram's Breath or Ram's Keeper.
Dragon's Voice - All ranged need to run into melee range to take no damage. If you get hit, you get paralyzed. Not as game ending if this goes off compared to Ram's Voice, but this should be interrupted anyway.
The biggest issue with interrupts on this fight is diminishing returns. If three of the same interrupt type is used within 30 seconds, the chimera will fully resist that interrupt tree until it comes off diminishing returns (30 seconds). To counteract this, what I found best was to alternate interrupt types, and have the relevant jobs attempt to do their interrupt. e.g.:
Stun > Silence > Stun > Silence > Stun > Silence
Using the <se.##> commands to declare which interrupt was used can be helpful if you dont have voice chat.
You can also use pacification as another form of interrupt, but it was more reliable for us to just alternate between stun and silence.
Despite the bard silence having a 30 second cooldown, it can be used for each alternating voice.
Just had an awsome 'glitch'
Decided to join the Amdapor Keep for my relic and decided to try the join in progress since I didn't had alot of time
found a 3/4 PT and joined it, when i zoned it I heard the victory sound because they made me join a finished run
So I was like meh shits happen and just run threw the zone and exit threw the light and guess what? I gave me the item lol so I am now to Hydra thanks to that 'bug'
Yup, focus on Add, kill it asap, add can cast courage on hydra and it's dealing large amount of damage to whoever take hit.
Also, when she start going to the middle, she's gonna cast terror AoE, everyone must go near her, in the middle to avoid her AoE.
Her AoE ice/fire circle make her regen, the tank have to move her.
With my group we manage to do the dungeon pretty easily now, with 75~min time left and no wipe. We did farm 300 token, and our PLD has taken the relic shield +1 (it's 300 token, and 600 for the sword, also 900 token for all others weapon +1).
How do you handle triumverate? It keeps trashing me on the hydra fight.
So how do we know which armor/weapon gives us the materia we need for the melding part of the quest?
The quest tells you exactly what you need
Are these the items for the Relic Quest (Revenant's Toll vendor)?
Radz-at-Han Quenching Oil - 900 Allagan Tomestones of Philosophy
Thavanairian Mist - 300 Allagan Tomestones of Mythology
?
I do not see any items on these vendors that sell for 900 Allagan Tomestones of Mythology.
