That evidence is kinda flismy... iirc some debuffs had different elements for magian credit then resist. Regardless I'm lik 99.9% sure it's earth for resist and getting that .1% right now. Countless pankrations with a chigoe that had 3+ attack speed 1 haste and enterror on it and the only thing that could beat me was earth based mobs... and all of them always beat me

19th time I've said it, but terror is earth based.

Want proof? Go cast Absolute Terror and Jettatura on some Earth Elementals. It's treated as an extended effect of petrification; this is why resist petrify works on terror. Go cast Absolute Terror and Jettatura on some RDM NMs and eventually you'll get some Resist! messages.

For Hecteyes, I solo'd the mobs in Abyssea-Tah as BLM/RDM. Used atma of MM, Lion, and Blinding Horn. I set up two macros, one with Shock > Thunder V, and the other with Shock > Thunder 2 > Thunder IV.
Since you can't use Manifestation on Shock, it's a rather slow way to kill things. So long as you've got a SCH/DRK at your disposal, Manifestation Absorb-MND is fantastically fast—presuming you've some way to AOE kill, at least.

Finished the stun staff in 2 days solo on Sch/Drk while at work. Shit is easy with Manifestation Absorb-MND, Manifestation Kaustra to kill, Manifestation drain or blue chests to heal. New defensive stats on SoA gear helps a lot.

I could have sworn Yugl said Terror was non-elemental since it doesn't count towards any element for magian trial. I suppose however that SE simply forgot to flag it as a debuff belonging to Earth similar to how they screwed up GEO and Helix for a while.

Some debuffs just don't seem to work with magian trials like geo spells. But it's been this way for waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay before magian trials came out so could just be something they forgot to add to magians

I can't confirm as of this latest update, but prior to that, Geo's still don't count. As I understood it (second hand account), Helix's don't count as rather than debuffs, they're elemental, as dumb as that is. Could test if Impact works to verify if that's why. Than again, the ele debuff line is elemental as well, isn't it? Maybe its just the fact that they have some additional debuff effect tied to them, -stats, where as Helix is just straight damage, idk.

    Helix gives a debuff icon.

Let me rephrase than, since you didn't understand where I was going with it. Being that helix doesn't apply a "debuff" of its own (IE, additional effect), where as ele debuffs (Burn, Shock, etc) do (-Int, -Mnd, etc) that that's the reasoning behind them not counting. Just conjecture really.

The thread you linked separates different types of elements. You have resist element and status effect element. The resist element determines resist (You use elementals to test this as Proth did). The status effect element is the element of the ailment and you use magian trials to determine this. Stuff like Addle have no affiliated status effect element, so the spell didn't count towards trials. However, fire elementals will resist this spell (Assumed; never checked tbh).

Thanks and sorry for the derail. Mostly seeing how easy it might be to do ADL without PD/stuns using the retarded amount of meva gear we have gotten.

In the July 9th update, SE said that Addle not counting towards fire element enfeeble magian trials was a bug.

Since SE had to have this pointed out to them in a bug report, there are likely others they overlooked, and we can't concretely say that an enfeeble has no element just because it doesn't apply to any magian enfeeble trials.

Only lasts about 20-30 seconds (and jettatura lasts less than stun lol) but might help

I solo'd my stun staff like a year ago using ionohelix > thunder5. So helixes definitely work. Dunno how that rumor got started.

I think you misunderstood me, I meant resisting his terror(which is a 50'?aoe that can last a minute).
Geo spells also don't count as enfeebles for mobs like tax'et, Mastop, etc.

Oh you mean like stacking earth resist and such on top off all that meva? It might work but just remember it might not be the same element for ADL as players. Bring a run and pflug away see if that works lol

Some terror sources seem to have an absurd accuracy bonus; with 418 Earth Resist and Pflug (without AF boots on, but with other generic item level gear on), I was unable to resist Absolute Terror from Nauls.

I think the mob version of Terror ignores magic evasion checks similar to Dispel/Flash/Stun/Death. Those moves ignore your natural elemental resistances which players accrue every level at the rank of C. So players at 99 have an invisible 373 vs all elements(SE changed it back in 2002 so that instead of showing the C Rank element resists for each element relative to your level, they simply display 0 unless modified by equipment/magic, but behind the scenes, you gain resistance to all elements every level. You can think of it as everyone has a C skill rating in 'Magic Evasion'. This is what I think Dispel/Flash/Death/Stun ignores since even a level 40 Goblin can stun/flash/dispel a level 99 player with very rare resists. Mob's Absolute Terror could be a 100% Terror proc unlike the BLU version which probably checks for whatever elemental resistance is applicable.

If Dispel and Stun ignored natural elemental resistances, wouldn't that mean they would always be the easiest spells to land on enemies? That's not the case, so I'm kind of doubtful.
