Easily the worst thing I've ever done in an online game, and I played through the end of 1.0 event. Couldn't even target party members through the UI, because apparently their model culling means they no longer exist.

I will say I completely enjoy major open world encounters. However, the culling issues makes these events less than worth it, if they spawn during even remotely populated times of day.

Your idea about making them leve's is an interesting one. However I would much rather see them make these worth while and use the tried and true "Sky/Sea" methodology to give us what we really want. This game could flourish with a XIV version of Sky. NM drop spawn items with bosses on enclosed battlefields.

Behemoth popped on Siren last night whilst a group of us were spamming fates 34-40ish. Went to have a look and it was utter chaos. One of the guys hung around to do the second one (most of us were too low to do anything other than raise).

Odin popped on Gilgamesh on Friday prime time.. Literally crashed the server. Everyone got kicked at the same time and nobody can get back in. Haha

Gilg is down completely now due to Odin. GG.

Entire zone crashed. 5 min later while they were all in 500+ que, market board and retainers broke, then everyone else 90k'd. I was in uldah inn.

i was in the odin fate, i knew something weird was up because there was lag every 5 secs (all i saw was dc symbols, everyone stopping and disengaging), i was receiving at 14k. In a pt w/ lucavi, odess and others, saw the LB gauge not even go up a pixel. Suddenly boom, server crash.

My group had claim since getting back into the server. Was a full group shortly afterZ. Got a silver. Didn't see any achievement spam for golds. Amazing....

Took down Odin again on Balmung, Silver again and no reported Golds. Is it even fucking possible

I got Gold on Odin two pops ago and not sure what I did really, I didn't get claim or anything just fought normally and rather poorly since hard to hit what you cant see. The next pop I was actually able to see Odin got claim on it from 100% never died once got LB2 off and only got silver so I'm not sure what the hell you do to get gold.
