At 36, I use Selene mostly, especially with other mages in the PT. I've been using Eos for final bosses to have the Regen and because I feel like everyone runs different directions and I'm the only one left with Glow.

How good/Bad is demagogue And strategos gear? I have full sets of each And looking to lvl Acn next but i dont really want to grind 2 sets of dl. Is The +30 int noticable or Peeps doin 15/15? Ill prolly end up focusing on smn over sch
AK gear is just "below" DL.
"Below" being relative as some pieces of DL are crap for some jobs.
Is there any cap for stuff like critical hit ( not talking in meld)
How can I explain it. Oh. Example after 400 critical getting diminish return or something?
And at same time for gear that you have to meld ( with vit and mind caped ) would you. Spell + crit or crit + pie
Item level is your primary guide to generally decide where a set as a whole lies in the gear hierarchy. (Wanderer's Palace > Amdapor Keep > Darklight > AF+1/Allagan)
But, as Niiro mentions, you have to look at each piece individually because each set doesn't have the same stats in each slot.
edit: I assumed you were DRG, heh... but you get the picture. Some stats are just way more valuable to stack and will sometimes be worth wearing something barely lower iLvl for.
An actual example of the situation is Explorer's Breeches vs Militia Subligar for melee. Militia is 3 levels higher, but Explorer's has more crit (while they both have the same value for STR/DEX). Then you get into the issue of materia, which you have to take into consideration how fast you might grow out of the piece vs the benefit of affixing a bunch of shit on the Militia piece.
HQ iLvl70 stuff (Vanya, etc.) is on par with Darklight. If you meld onto it, you can often exceed Darklight.
NQ iLvl70 stuff is pretty equal to Ampador Keep items, and can surpass them with melds.
I think you have to be doing Coil to accumulate spiritbind on that ilvl gear
Yeah bound my rose and darksteel stuff :/ really frustrating to be honest. Cause now I can't sell the shit and its uselss with allagan.
Yeah, Allagan and AF2 have the same stats with one exception which could be Determination or Accuracy (for example). Same applies to Allagan weapons and relic+1.
I know ya'll are using > and < as arrows, but it always throws me off because half the time this board uses them as such, and as "greater than" or "less than" other times.
How do people feel about playing both SCH and SMN due to the stat differential?
i.e: If I have allocated all my points to MND for SCH, is SMN ever really worth playing even if geared to the teeth?
If you're really "geared to the teeth," I don't think a total of 30 INT will make or break your ability to be a valuable DPS for your party. The problem is, being "geared to the teeth" takes a fucking assload of time/effort for a single job... which most likely will not happen on your SMN if you're allocating for SCH.
Skill > stats, particularly for ACN and its respective jobs (keeping DoTs up whilst juggling other tasks). You should be able to get along just fine either way.
Gearing is mostly a time problem, I am just not feeling how big of a difference 30 INT would be most of the time, it seems like a fairly huge chunk to me. It's really a question of getting relic, because honestly, getting a relic weapon is easier than the hours spent in castrum/ak/crafting ~_~
Can't speak for how big 30 INT impacts SMN DPS performance, but losing 30 MND will probably cost you a good ~50-60 (a little less for Adlo/Succor) from most of your heals.
