Further stuff I was looking at, manually calculating pet DPS (something we've only used a parser for in the past).
Garuda landed 36 attacks over 120 seconds or 0.3 attacks/sec (Wind Blade has a cast of 3s plus the minor delay between attacks, 3.33 secs/attack makes sense).
With my mediocre gear and Garuda book (63 DMG 382 attack potency) her average wind blade damage was 160 (low 152 high 169).
0.3 attacks/sec and 160 damage/attack gives her a real DPS of 48 (not counting crits). FFXIVapp parser gives a DPS of 49 (which includes the ~5% crit rate, having only +14 crit it's expected to be very near the base rate) so this checks out as far as I'm concerned.
Bio, Bio 2, and Miasma:
Bio avg 77/tic
Bio2 avg 67/tic
Miasma avg 67/tic (didn't bother with initial damage, just looking at DoT)
Total 211 dmg/tic
1 tic being 3s gives us 211/3 = 70 DPS for all 3 spells combined, crits not accounted for.
Ruin:
Low 145 High 160
Avg 152
Assuming 2.5 secs per cast (just to be on the safe side) we'd get a DPS of 60 not counting crits.
I parsed Ruin spam with AHK hitting ruin every 2.5s and came out with a DPS of 59, I noticed the timing didn't always sync up and a cast would be skipped every now and then despite my spell speed being 2.38 and the script hitting the button every 2.5, so lag played a part in lowering it to some degree.
So, in a vacuum, not counting crits, with my mediocre gear, we have:
Garuda: 48 DPS
Bio+Bio2+Miasma: 70 DPS
Ruin spam: 60 DPS
I don't feel like doing much more on this atm but things that are most obviously missing are bonuses from Raging Strikes, Fester damage, Shadow Flare damage (going to be more difficult because of the massive crit rate oddity) and accounting for bonus pet damage from regular use of Rouse and Spur (there's a really simple way to do this I'm sure but I'm not that great with the maths).
The biggest factors that would lower these numbers would obviously be human error in keeping up DoTs with staggered durations and optimal use of Aertherflow stacks between Fester and Energy Drain.
Edit: idk what kinda wonky stuff XIVapp parser does when trying to measure DoTs but it's very weird. I just happened to take a look at it now (didn't use it before because I knew it couldn't be accurate).
It overvalues Bio to 100/tic, undervalues Bio 2 to 53/tic, and after recording an initial damage from Miasma at 40 values the DoT at........9/tic.
