If you fight Titan and Garuda on a different class, would you still satisfy the Summoner requirements? Or do you have to fight the primals as a Summoner in order to get those summons?
You do not have to be Summoner.

Thanks for the clarifications. I'll aim to get Titan ASAP on another higher lvl class, so I can have a nice tank pet when I solo as Summoner.
Titan and Garuda are basically just Topaz and Emerald Carbuncle with slightly higher potency on their attacks, maybe higher stats, and access to their signature moves at 50. Topaz should be perfectly serviceable. Nice thing about them is that since they are called with the regular Summon and Summon II, you can use them while level-capped. Same applies for SCH's fairies.
Pretty sure jobs can by sync'd down below 30, but at that point you're not really gaining anything by being on the job.
p.s. I kinda' wish the Summon/SummonII icons changed to fairies/egi when on SCH/SMN.
This is what I was thinking. The higher Mind would hopefully allow for higher cures than you'd get with ACN. It'd really just be to help out friends/LS members on my SCH instead of changing to CNJ depending on the content. Would rather get the exp, even if it's small, on ACN/SCH.
Honestly I imagine the fairy alone makes SCH an awesome low level healer. Adloquium is more of a safety net anyways in my opinion due to its much higher MP cost compared to Physick.
SCH synced in low lvl dungeons is OP with your pet.
Oh duh, you still have the fairy. Brain not working today.
I may be wrong on this but my friend is leveling SMN right now and he was not able to access Titan until he did the level 35 Job Quest for Fester, the prerequisite for which is defeating Titan in the Main Story. So assuming Garuda works the same way, even if you defeat her on a higher job you still have to wait till 45SMN(I think?) to utilize the Garuda-Egi instead of blue carby.
Right, the Lv.30, 35, and 45 SMN quests can't even be flagged until you progress past Ifrit, Titan, and Garuda respectively. The Egis are not outright rewarded as visible abilities/traits, but you face them in essentially mini-primal battles during said quests and they take over the Summon/Summon II slots from then on out (you get a small prompt upon completing the quest that says your Summon/Summon II now summons Titan/Garuda).
