How active is your server?

As soon as Skirmish II came out, after the 2nd day or so almost everyone from my LS quit the game or moved to XIV, I've been doing /sea all from around 10am-10sh pm and the #s barely break 800 (who knows how many of those are mules/bazaars). Are all servers like this now? or just Shiva.

1-1.2k on Asura for most of EST prime-time today. Generally been 1.2k for most of the last week.

Yeah, its expected with 14 out. More people should be back as the week progresses. It's also a lull in content right now since Skirmish II has not proved challenging and engaging enough to keep people spamming it as much as the old salvage days.

1100+ on Phoenix. Seems about normal for a weekday though.

770 on quetz, most of which are bots and RMTs. Quetz is kind of dying and Im predicting a server merge for us again some time soon. Which as a crafter I fully welcome an influx of more potential buyers of my wares.

No but seriously we could use a server message ASAP, have to shout for hours on end to get people together for anything other than yorcia weald skirmish | morimar delve.

Only if they retool the old servers for the surviving servers into providing more 'layers' for their band-aid of an instancing code.

I'd be happy with a general 2k population during prime time, even though it's still a far cry away from Asura's old 4.4k during the golden era.

I dunno, I honestly don't miss the 4k+ days at all, not at all.
2k/2,5k sounds like the perfect amount. Less than that and you're likely missing people/options to do stuff.
More than that and you likely gonna have too much people doing too much stuff and hence congestion, queues, lag etc.

I dunno, I honestly don't miss the 4k+ days at all, not at all.

It worked back then due to the zones being used, and general lack of ease-of-travel that we have today. 4k today would be chaotic when all the focus is on just Adoulin's small handful of easily-accessed content though.

I miss the population, but I understand the way the game is built nowadays to accomodate a smaller overall player count, to go along with the skeleton crew barely keeping the thing alive.
