How to save cousins from abusive mother?

There's literally millions of resources to go about reporting things of this nature. CPS does stand-alone investigations in to abuse but restrictions on child wellfare that doesn't immediately put the child in danger aren't considered "priority" as they don't get in to investigations that interfere with a parents right to educate and raise their child the way they want to.

The twist is if you feel there is abuse or there is obvious signs of some type of physical abuse that goes beyond corporal punishment, then the first step is always contacting the local authorities to file a police report. Fairbanks has annual reporting guidelines to go about reporting child abuse and it's one of those things that requires further intervention if you don't have any solid proof (pictures, emails, etc.). If you do have anything such as e-mail chains and photo's and any witnesses, I would keep it all together and give it to the officer who reports it (most likely you'll do a non-emergency report either via e-mail or phone).

And finally if you think this is serious enough to warrant further immediate intervention, I have contacts in Fairbanks with CPS and can get you in touch with an agent that works there. If it's already been reported and the file is closed, I don't know what he can do about it right now but it's an option.
