Few other things about Landslide itself. If you know you can't avoid it at the last minute for whatever reason, jump towards him-- it lessens the distance the knockback will push you for and potentially save you from being pushed off. You also have a high chance of parrying Landslide if you run through Titan, just before it lands and hits you (still can be pushed off from behind his back however). Also you can be pushed off during the casting time for Braver/Battledance if you're trying to snipe his heart.

Finally got to try this tonight and it's a pretty cool fight. But my major beef is weight of the earth. This move is totally lag dependent. There were times it popped and I had like 5 minutes to get out. There were times it popped and it seemed to go off half a second later. And my reaction time was spot on. I know after he starts dropping rocks his pattern goes land slide > weight of the earth, so it's easy to predict there but I still need to be not doing anything in order to avoid it. Everything else is simple enough to dodge or look out for. The only other issue we were having was him imprisoning someone while his heart was out. It'd be ok if he did it just once, but while his heart was out he did it twice to me. Talk about wasted dps time. Having two sch's healing might not have helped as it seems they can't burst heal like whm's can. Didn't get to see the fight after earthen fury but I've watched videos and it doesn't seem to change. Seems his biggest problem is just the lag with weight of the earth.

We we're trying breaking the first person out during heart phase but leaving the second one in, but healing after earthen fury is a bitch either way.

Any real tips on heart phase? We were having a hard time getting it down in time. All the other mechanics seem like a cake walk except the damn heart.

Don't have anybody dead, DPS the heart, leave 2nd guy in the block. Shouldn't need to LB.

Same thinking here. It's especially hard when he prisons your dps twice. That, and of course, the damn weight of the earth lag. One other thing that's annoying is the smoke from the stones blowing up. If you're zoomed out it covers your screen and you can't really see for a second or two.

Trio'd this yesterday. PLD, me on SCH, and two BRD. One of the BRD got Landslided at the beginning. Me and the other guys trio'd the rest of the fight like a boss. Fairly easy, just don't get knocked off.

Not sure if trolling but everyone here is talking about hard mode.

Is there any situation where you'd want to break out the second person then? Like if it cages a healer, etc?

Oh, didn't know. I assumed story quest since the first post said MSQ. Not talking about hard mode for sure.

The thread was originally about the storyline fight and the entire first page references that fight. On the second page it started to diverge into the hard mode fight. Someone should start a real "Titan Hardmode" thread with a useful OP or mod this thread.

I actually had a harder time during the Ifrit fight vice Titan. Probably just a duty finder thing though.

Only if you've already broken the heart. If you don't kill the heart it isn't going to matter how much healing you have, but the general idea is if a healer is the second person break the heart and immediately get on that rock so that they can heal after earthen fury.

I'm way past Titan at this point, but since he's a Hard Mode fight, I wanna ask this. As a tank, how should I position Titan? The Normal Fight I've always positioned him towards the edge so if someone gets hit by landslide, they'll have a chance to not get thrown off immediately.
