I did this for a friend who didn't know the fight that well, but she didn't want to be carried because she wanted to be able to do Titan on her own. Titan's TP moves are always between roughly 3~5 seconds apart. I'm fairly certain it's supposed to be 5s, but they've gone at as low as 3s and I don't know if it's latency or poor timing on my part so I stick with this spread. Knowing this you can make macros (assuming you use keyboard or keyboard/mouse) to call moves for an inexperienced group. It's not the most practical thing since you have to be comfortable with the fight enough yourself that you can click it without a second thought, but it helped my friend get acclimated with the fight. The entire fight is about knowing what's next, and that's where I've seen the majority of folks fail. The difference between 8 people not communicating and making 7 other people listen to you call the fight is night and day. Obviously you can't make people mumble/skype in a DF group so the above is a decent substitute, again, if you're comfortable enough with the fight on your own.
The simplest way is to just be on voice chat and have someone announce the moves before they come.
For a group that doesn't know the patterns already that's the easiest way.
Well of course that's the easiest way, but the chance of that happening in a DF group are (I'm going to make an assumption here) slim to none. It seemed like most people posting are saying they are having problems in DF groups which is why I posted the above.
I know of the spot for where you can dodge all but one circle bomb (and even then you can avoid it, but you have to be sitting on the very edge of the stage), but the FC member kept constantly stating this glitch would also allow you to dodge Mountain Buster. When I asked for a screenshot or something though, it wasn't given. So I'm just fishing here.
You can dodge the circle bombs too. Blind from flash isnt a 100% chance to miss either. I'd probably put it in the 40-50% range for Mountain Buster.
What's the best method to dodge circle bombs?
Iirc it's a very very small place which is close to impossible to be in, it was in a video(I think it was this thread also posted earlier on). I'll try and find the video.
Edit: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_KrW2ppJ3_0 At 4:54 I think it was or so.
Usually just Hollowed right as they are about to boom on you so you can just eat the bomb + a table flip right after in phase 5.
Yeah it's not sadly, our tank has some pretty nice luck on it tho. Usually misses him most of the fight whenever we do it.
Not looking forward to doing this fight for several weeks. Especially as a WAR.
I think I should be geared for it at this point unless i need to start getting hero's accessories.
If you are a tank and you're unsure about circle bombs.. for the love of god just eat one and not two.
So my FC magically toughened up, and we got 3 clears done in 5 attempts for folks for the day that needed it as if it was nothing. Got my Titan-book for collection sake, so I'm happy.
Does any other SCHs have the issue where Titan sometimes table-flips Eos and no one else at the start of the last phase? She's usually not one to gank hate for whatever reason in directly-tanked fights like this.
Whats the avg DPS for SMN to be decent and above for this fight ?
Anyone with any sort of decent DPS can 5 x DPS this. 150+? Not much at all is needed for 5 x DPS.
The only problem slow DPS should cause is lack of healing on excessive tumults in the latest stages of the fight. If you're having dodging problems, then yeah, DPS isn't your problem.
There's a little nudge... kind of explain, north, slightly west edge during p5 where you can avoid most things. Supposedly you can avoid all but MB there but I usually just eat one of the circle bombs than risk falling and having to explain over vent why I'm a moron with relic.
I've heard people say that Titan is a tank fight for some reason, not sure how that started but I laugh at them.
