Bootshine -> Twin Snakes -> Demolish -> Fracture -> ToD -> Combo again. You have a ton of time to slot them both in in GL3. I'll generally pop B4B just before the Demolish if available so you have all 3 of them ticking at 56% damage+. Fracture has the same duration as Demolish so you can always just throw both out in succession to easily upkeep without any thought.

Fracture having same time as Demolish makes for an easy slot. Thanks.

Demolish > Fracture lines up their timers near perfect, especially in GL3. You can fit in ToD after any Raptor Form WS and not lose a real beat on Demo/Fracture.

Since ToD is roughly double the length of Fracture/Demolish, I personally start my rotations with:

    • 1. {Flank} ToD >>
      • 2. Dragon Kick for debuff >>
      • 3. Twin Snakes for buff >>
      • 4. Demolish >>

      • 5. {Rear} Bootshine >>
      • 6. True Strike >>
      • 7. {Flank} Snap Punch >>
      • 8. Fracture >>

      • 9. Internal Release (don't like to use without at least GL2, but most mobs start fking around by the time you stack GL3 so I use early) >>
      • 10. Dragon Kick to redebuff
      • 11. Twin Snakes to rebuff
      • 12. Snap Punch

      & Recycle

So basically I alternate Demolish and Fracture to "end" the first two 3-hit combos "inside" a ToD timer. Might be slightly sub-optimal but is an easy rhythm that makes it easy to not fuck up (more important to me, when my rotation breaks down my brain shuts off and I just mash keys in a panic for like 10 seconds). The timers line up decently this way also.

Usually shoulder tackle my way to the mob, (I only use this for normal mobs)

BfB+IR >> PB >> SPx3 (Tod) then start up DK >> TS >> Demolish (Steal Peak &/or Howling Fist), then over to Bootshine >> TS >> Snap ~~

    Boss is almost backwards,

Bootshine >> TS >> Snap x2 >> DK >> TS >> Demolish >> BfB+IR >> PB >> SPx3 >> (ToD) (Steal Peak&/or Howling Fist) (Highest Crit from this setup so far is 645 on AK, but also did 639 on Titan)

Why do you start with Bootshine > True Strike(unclear which TS?) > Snapx2? Why not get the buffs from DK & Twin Snakes before going behind to crit?
How do you Snapx2 without PB up?
Why do you wait so long to start your DoTs... does their damage scale with buff/debuffs and it makes more sense? My philosophy has always been get DoTs going ASAP for more duration.
I didn't put Steel Peak in as I 1. reserve it to stun & 2. don't like to build boss's resist to stuns just for the extra dmg on long cd.
I don't use Howling Fist, perhaps I should. Seems like usually there are adds during most bosses so I use it then.

Obviously don't use it on bosses that need to be stunned.
On single-target bosses it's non-GCD free damage. Should always be using it.

I can't be bothered to scour this entire thread for little tidbits, but 2 questions:

    1) Does Internal Release affect Touch of Death/Fracture/Demolish DoTs? And if so, does it affect the entire duration of the DoT?

    2) What is the ideal use for Perfect Balance (besides spamming Rockbreaker on multiple trash/adds)?

    1) Only matters if IR is up at the moment the DoT is applied. You'll just see a tick do more damage than it should if it crits, assuming it works the same as SMN/BRD DoTs. Am pretty sure that any DoT can crit.
    2) Aside from getting to GL3 as fast as possible on initial engagement (DK > Snap Punch x3 I guess?), dunno.

I know this may not be a great answer for your first question, since I haven't played Monk yet, but on Summoner, if I use Raging Strikes + dots and try to refresh them after Raging Strikes wears off, it won't let me since the one currently up is "more powerful" from Raging Strikes. Which -should- mean all buffs affect the entire duration of a dot.

I used to always start out with ToD but I like to use it when i have BfB and/or IR up.

I suppose I could do DK>>Twin Snakes>>Demolish , then Bootshine>>True Strike>>Snap Punchx2 means to do that cycle twice for greased lightning. Then BfB+IR >> PB >> SPx3 then Steal Peak&/or Howling Fist I honestly don't have a set in stone rotation I'll prolly start using this one, I am constantly reading the forums on how to tweak and peak stats/strats.

First DK doesn't give debuff, you have to be in opo stance. It's stronger (from flank) though so you should open with it anyway.

yeah my touch of death crits at like 230-280s the ticks that is. The initial attack i've ever only seen crit for like 64 or maybe a little higher.

    1. Yes. And if so, yes.
    2. There are 3 situations ideal for PB:
    a) Lost GL3 and need it back ASAP
    b) Rockbreaker spam
    c) Opener in a fight where you won't regret not having PB < 3 minutes later.

You don't get any form bonus while PB is active, so it's no use "spamming" silence or something like that.

Sadly not DK puts you into raptor and Snap punch needs coeurl form. need true strike or twin snakes inbetween

It's almost in a weird way like FFXI Blms 2hr (1hr) manafont. No MP needed just cast your spells until it's over~~

I was mistaken about needing DK to be in right form for debuff but Snap Punch x3 is still GL3 right now. In Perfect Balance. Which is what the question was about.

What? Pretty sure you do. You can PB and spam Arm for constant silence.

You cannot. You have to be in the correct form to be able to silence (opo-opo). Even when using PB to go through and skip to spamming snap punch to put yourself in opo-opo form, it doesn't work that way either. I'm hoping they eventually address this in a later patch and make PB more appealing.
