I thought the same thing first time I saw the weapon, I thought it was a 4 stage upgrade, it made sense to me D:

Ew, not pleased to read that at all. I'm going to try it tomorrow with my set (If we can get a WHM, since ours is down for some days), I don't expect much since it's not gonna be all of us but we'll see how it goes.

T6 is pretty random. If you get targeted for thorn leesh a lot you're gonna do less dps than pulls where you don't get it at all. I've had both happen tonight, and during the times where I don't get targeted and he's just a punching bag I can upkeep like close 300 dps with an i90 weapon.

Same here, it's frustrating at randomness. I have a pocket brd but i need to bump up my acc on brd. Lotta myth farming if i wanna cheese the fight. Either way mnk/drg drops are mine and go 2nd on brd drops lol.

So after a few observations while continuing to wipe on t6, i saw you can prevent getting eaten and all and reposition yourself correctly after the bulb mechanic comes up. Rafflesia doesn't cleave or attack anything until she's done w/ her feeding. So it gives you a chance to wail at her, helps your dps and doesn't require too much moving around since you can just go through her.

Also levi weapon get!! Time to farm my mirror! Not as good as allagan for now, but it's a great alternative and bumps up your accuracy.

I figure the Levi weapon would be good anyway to have more options for accuracy. Gonna be using any i110 drops you get and if the new piece doesn't have accuracy on it then at least you have other options so you aren't under cap

Really? I think MNK is fine on turn 6. I don't know how you're having issues. We only ran for about an hour last night but we got it to 40% and I'm pretty confident we'll get a kill tonight.

Basically the strategy for the Monk is stand behind Raffle and deal damage @ the 5 and 7 o'clock positions as usual to get your rotation. If you get targeted by Tethers, you have enough time to throw an attack at max range and the animation will complete as you run towards the edge of the arena, which will allow you to keep up stacks.

For Bulbs, that's on you honestly. You should never have any problems outside of the center bulb that spawns. If you kill it fast enough, there should be no problem for you keeping up your rotation (just save all your CDs for the center bulb and blow them on it). If the bulb makes a patch in the middle that's medium sized, you'll have to ask your tank to rotate it to keep your rotation up. If it reaches it's max size well.... Lrn 2 Git Good?

If you're the target of Devour, simply run to the Briar patches that are newest and away from your allies. This is pretty much the same for every class...not really Monk specifically. If you are the target of the bee, stop moving, kill the damn thing (again use cooldowns on this).

If at any point (usually on tethers or after a devour) you're going to lose stacks, shoulder tackle in to keep them up. Otherwise, it's pretty straight forward and easy. I honestly feel Healers have it the worst in this fight...their job seems far more tedious than ours.

    Heres what im thinking: http://ffxiv.ariyala.com/M183

What are you guys getting for your first soldery piece? I'm leaning towards body or legs.

Might have to go with legs for a slight accuracy boost. Then again, body may work out nicely with the Leviathan weapon for now.

Really the only part I hate as a healer is when people are slow at breaking their tethers, end up in thorns (possibly with tether) during Blight, or eat 1-2 ticks of thorns they didn't have to during Devour. Otherwise it's almost boring; once solo healed like a full minute into last phase with 3 other people alive on a failed attempt.

We thought the fight was pretty melee-unfriendly at first but it's really only bad when they don't keep an eye on who is the devour target (if they aren't) or new bulbs (if they are), and/or the target does something stupid.

Got my sphairai atma last night. A lot of people complain about the reskinning of their relics but I like the new color of ours. It is too bad it doesn't glow when in combat stance, but whatever the next upgrade to it looks-wise will give me something to look forward too I guess. haha

This is pretty much the same list I posted back a few pages.

If you don't need accuracy, use Gloam Bracers and Gloam Earrings for Max DPS. Otherwise, your list is correct.

And just like before, Glanzfaust + Allagan Striking Legs are your go to choice no matter what setup until you get Allagan, in which case then you go for Gloam Legs.

So for the books to upgrade our atma weapons stats would going for STR and ACC (if not capped) be the best choices?
So maybe STR > Determination if ACC is capped or close to it? At this point my gear is so-so at best so I think I would benefit the most from additional ACC. But determination would be a viable secondary stat to increase after STR as well, right?

    Thoughts?

You'll have to do all of them so if you are going to do them strength would be the first three to do. The order of the rest wouldn't make a huge difference. I don't think there is a book for determination.

Wow. I just now realized I completely misread the purpose of the books for this questline. For some reason I thought we could pick which of the books (whether STR, VIT, ACC, etc) to obtain. I was going to go for three STR and one ACC if I could. Haha... thanks for pointing out my misunderstanding.

After testing some builds on T6, I'm pretty sure 473acc is the cap on turn6. Anyone tested on turn7+ yet?

Cap from back/flank maybe but not from anything's front.
