I stopped by my local Gamestop last night to see if they had any CE's that were available, and was told that earlier that day someone that pre-ordered a CE cancelled the order. The game is still on its way, though, so the manager said to call Friday morning when they open and tell them to hold it for me, if I can't be there at 10am personally.

I'm ~4 hours into the demo version, will probably get another few hours in tonight, should be able to cap everything that transfers over to the full game, for sure. I'm really liking this game so far, and the demo has lasted longer than several other full games I've played recently... so there's that, too. Also, love that villager trick. :D

Does 2 day =/= release day shipping?
I ordered when I had prime and the only option was 2 day, so currently my ship day is the 11th.
Should it be the 7th, or is that a different ship option all together?

It does... normally. There are just cases when a preorder has no final stock tally, or supply isn't nailed down, or who the shit knows why? Sometimes, your prime/release day/2-day doesn't kick in when they finally add the delivery date. Usually choosing 'change shipment speed' and then simply saving (with 2-day shipping still selected) will correct the date and get it to you on release day.

I had trial prime during Christmas, and modified my ship date to two day.

But they said it didnt matter per the very detailed example they gave me: Orders 1-50 got the ship date for friday, 51-100 got it for monday, 101-150 get it tuesday, etc. Just came down to my reservation being further behind the planned stock they have for the item for release day.

Whatevs. I still have Mario 3D World to beat.

I nearly got a game over fighting my first random encounter at level 1 with default gear at the highest difficulty setting. I was like holy shit I'm not ready for this difficulty and toned it down.
