Unless a boss has a specific elemental weakness, I've been actually relying on sword mage + drain on my two DDs for most of my healing. I have a Rdm as healer, but I just got Salve-maker, so maybe I'll switch that around.

By the way if anyone has added me and is having money trouble, I stumbled on a little trick that can be done if you have a merchant lv 11 (or if you have me on your friend's list and ab-link me, then you can borrow this ability)
Merchant has an ability called Big Pharma
Knight with defense gear/defense+ job traits, anyone with blessed shield (Preferably whm since more mnd = more heal), merchant with heal lore equipped (from salve maker), DD.
1) Have all but your knight in critical HP (easy to do let them get ko'd and just throw a phoenix down on them)
2) Find an enemy that only has single target physical attacks
3) Make sure your DD doesn't do more dmg than your merchant can heal (equip a wep weak enough, and yes watch for crit dmg)
4) Knight defaults, blessed shield char heals knight, merchant uses Big Pharma on mob, DD attacks mob.
5) Auto battle (re-inputs commands); make sure battle speed is max
The more MND your merchant has the better (mnd gear is a plus) and keep them with speed traits/agi gear (You want them to go before your DD). DD attacks mob. Merchant heals mob. Mob pays you the same amount you cured it for. My current build has big pharma able to heal around 1,700. Regular attacks from my DD are doing around 1k and critting around 2k. So I'm making 1-2k pg every attack round. Put it on auto battle and went to sleep. Will find out how much money I've made in a few hours. Going back to sleep; just woke up to take a piss really, but the battle is still ongoing. The knight is using protect ally since everyone is in critical damage and taking all the hits and being healed each round. DD damages job, merchant heals mob and collects pay.
I found myself grinding money anyways with exp turned off, so same thing rly; just w/o me having to be running around the entire time (as I also had auto battle on for grinding while I just watched anime and held the analog stick down)
Unrelated, the whole Ninja quest and its related story was about the most awesome thing in this game so far (Granted, I'm still in chapter 3, but yea)
I'm way behind the rest of you guys (just got the BLM Asterisk), but this game is amazing.
On equipping your guys, is it better to equip a weaker weapon/armor that they have a higher grade versus something stronger, but with an E rating?
Equip the strongest.
The DMG you see is already modified by weapon ranking. If the stat is higher, it is regardless of rank. That being said, if you took that same weapon and equipped it on a job with an S ranking, that's when you'd see the difference, because the wep would be stronger for that job.
Anyone know a way to receive more nemesis? I killed 2-3 a few days ago and now I only have lvl 70 and lvl 99 ones, nothing remotely close to my level.
Also what does everyones party look like? Mine is;
WHM
NIN
Valkyrie
RNG/THF
I -think- the only way to get them is your daily update data, but I definitely don't get them everyday and some days I seem to get quite a few. I guess the random people you get have to send theirs or you just get lucky through SE sending you them. It's kinda dumb unless there is something I'm missing about them. >.>
You can get more nemesis daily when you use "Update Data". They might also show up if you get a StreetPass? I'm not 100% sure on that one.
Tangential to this question, what's the point of the nemesis? I've only managed to kill one, because I have nearly 10 fucking "Lv20 Belphegors" on my map, and I haven't bothered to level enough people on BLM/RDM to take it down yet. Just curious if I'm missing out on anything interesting.
I want to kick whoever thought rotating a magical weakness would be fun in the nuts.
Going to spoiler just in case since it is related to one of the later jobs and I don't know how people feel about job spoilers. >.>
Spoiler: show
There is also a money exploit related to stealing Elixirs from one of them, I forget which one you could do this with, but you can steal an Elixir from it, run away, repeat, etc. I think Elixirs sell for 25k.
How do I kill the fire temple boss? He one shots the entire party after he transforms... It was late so I gave up and went to bed last night after 2 attempts. I'm level 41.
just picked this up today, should i finish out all the demo content or just start the game?
Fire boss: defend the turn after transform drops, it always uses that move on that turn. I survived by using dds that had 2handed and just equipping a shield on the mass defend turn, then removed it to do damage. Its weak to thunder.
Nemeses: you get from street pass and daily net invites, the person needs to have sent a nemesis when they update their data.
send nemesis data!!!!
I just DPS'd it down quickly. I leveled the weapon shop to 6 or 7 and got the bow, and had 3x THF with bow lore. Everyone just defended until it transformed and then life stealx4 + cura all. After 2-3 brave x4 it was dead.
They drop items which you use on characters to permanently up their stats. Beelzebub drops AGI/DEX and Belphegor MND/INT? Asmodeus didn't drop shit for me and the rest of my fuckers are lv99 so I won't be fighting them for a bit.
fuck the rematches in chapter 7. holy shit i wasn't expecting the fight to start OVER with MORE ENEMIES. looks like someone's getting Spiritmastered to hell and back
also didn't realize that Rob Blind straight up gave you 2x the item you stole, for some reason i thought it was the common+rare steal at once
chapter 7 genome question
Spoiler: show
Neither did i, But once I found it gave you 2x of the item stolen, I was like "thats equipped forevers on my THF", some of the items you can steal early on were quite nice... Getting 2x of them made it better. I imagine theres some nice goodies in 7+ too.
Regarding Chapter 6+
Spoiler: show
Just one more time actually. You can do it.

Any tip for the ninja fight?
