    How are instance servers determined with duty finder?

    Instances are cross server, so say someone flags JE and gets partied with Japanese players. Are you (or rather, could you be) now playing in an instance in the Japanese data center? Can you only be grouped with your own data center, but any server in the region?

    J/W how that works. Got a full Japanese party for Haukke(sp?) Manor and I was trying to notice any latency differences.

    Bring back random question thread, this topic feels dirty.

    Language you select, not server. There are multiple players speaking multiple languages across multiple servers. There are NA players rolling on JP servers for whatever reason, and there are potentiall JP players playing on NA servers because that's where all their 1.0 ppl are. I see quite a few emotes and JP characters in fate pts.

    it now takes me 1 minute to get into a instance dungeon as paladin rather .05s this is outrageous.

    I'm still waiting for SMN to be awesome. Battle-rez is about the extent of their usefulness, as is the shared Limit with BLM for Ifrit.

    Unless I don't understand how the Duty Finder chooses members for a PT, wut?

    THM is a DD. I've even had PTs with 2 ACN, one being myself. Do they reserve a spot for THM/ACN versus LNC/ARC/PGL?

    Yeah, for some reason all our 1.0 players were on Ridill (JP Legacy server), so that's where we all are in ARR now. Not having any problems - the JP population is pretty cool and we all know how to use the autotranslator since we all played FFXI.

    Based on my personal experiences, the Duty Finder doesn't appear to make a distinction between different DDs, and it has no problem putting two identical classes together with each other. I just had a double-PGL Cutter's Cry run last night.

    Yes, I'm starting to believe he was being sarcastic, which does not translate through text very well, and also believed that I was complaining, which I was not. I was more or less responding to tanks now having to wait a bit longer while DDs still average out about the same.
