As far as I could tell I 'unlocked' new nodes every 5 levels but when I hit 25 my gathering log still wouldn't tell me where I might find level 30 nodes. Was I just imagining the log updating every 5 levels, and does anybody know where I might find level 30 logging/harvesting nodes?

I believe you need to either hit 26 or complete the LV25 quest to open the next log.

I've done the 25 quest already so I can confirm it's not that. Needing to be 26 sounds like it would make sense though. That map is pretty awesome, saved. I guess I'll check out the 30 nodes and see if I have access, and if not do some leves. Currently turning three stacks of walnut logs into lumber though so it'll take a bit before I can go do that.
