Warrior's Legs gave the same stats. That's pretty much the only reason.

The list that Eanae posted is better IMO. Unless you have Allagan Blade, Helm, and myth wrists AND no Allagan Shield/Allagan Earrings, you wont be running into the acc problems where you would need allagan gloves or valor feet.

Would I be able to get a definitive answer on how the BIS has changed if at all for PLD with the changes made to the hands and legs? I am assuming that allagan pants are still not BIS, and as far as hands go, If you HAVE to pair them up for acc reasons, it looks like the valor beat out the allagan? it comes down to +15Parry vs +22Det? Would like to figure it out before I dump my mytho into Feet and Hands lol

We won't know till we see the stats on extreme mode accessories and shield.

Doesn't look like the Primal accessories beat out Hero's/Allagan then, at least not if you care about Parry.

Disappointing accesories, but with Parry/ACC-options available already, this was to be expected. Simply exchanging ACC/Parry-values would have been too boring, after all. At least there are decent options for a bit more damage output, now.

Is it me or is a lot of the new gear replacing Parry for things like Determination/Crit/Skill Speed not really sure I understand the direction coming from MMO's that only give tank gear "tank" stats, but I guess Parry can replaced in certain situations where you hit a breakpoint and will not be benefitting from it anymore.

Also it could have been a mistranslation but i thought Allagan weapons were not receiving an upgrade, just checked and the blade has definitely received +1 to physical damage.

The non-parry options are more for WAR I think than they are for PLD.

Where does the Onion Shield come from? Do you get it and the sword at the same time from the EX Primal quest?

Onion Shield is PvP gear

I think they're going to be one of those pieces that are far more beneficial for people who are currently gearing up PLD rather than those who already have PLD well geared. Purely because it will allow you to gear up to a decent HP level quicker.

Well considering that the Onion Shield doesn't have the Morale stat anywhere on it, as well as the fact that the rest of the "Onion" gear is from Crystal Tower, that's where I would have assumed it to come from.

Pretty sure it's the shield from EM primals.

iLvl 90 would imply that, but the naming scheme wouldn't. I guess we'll see sometime over the next week.

How decent is full Valor and full hero's compared to allagan and BiS? The reason I ask is because I have a feeling I am never going to get pieces I actually need on PLD. So far I have the allagan body (I got this after valor) . My guess (at the rate i am going) I will get the legs and hands after I get Valor -_-

Outside of Hero's Ring, the accessories are pretty meh and Allagan is clearly better, but the gear difference between the armor sets is extremely minimal

Hero fending accessories are extremely blah, don't waste mythology on them. Especially not with these new i90 accessories out.

Edit: Hero's ring notwithstanding.

Gearing Question for a relatively new 50 PLD:

I'm currently in Vermillian Head and Body, Hoplite Feet, HDL Gloves, and AF legs. For ACC's I'm still using mid to late 40s stuff (including HQ rings)

But I have about 800 Phil, 300 Myth. With the update today, I should be able to afford Valor Head and Body by early next week. So I'm wondering if I should bother spending Myth on HDL Body or use that Phil on upgrading my ACC's?

You'd get the strongest upgrades from replacing your accessories with Darklight.

Otherwise the progression path is now pretty muddy with CT out. You'll likely won't need to buy HDL if you can get the Armor of Light from CT, which almost matches HDL, so Armor of Light + Valor Head should beat it.
