    Dynamis-Bastok TE/Camp Help

So I'm having a little trouble with the TE-4 Statue at the bottom in the back. I got THF/DNC. Wondering if anyone has any tips on what they do or just do what I do and hope for the best, or Kill > Flee > die in safe spot lol.

Other is question is there any good spots for THF/DNC for tougher mobs? Been looking around and seems like a bad mix here and there. Been just mash killing and procing if possible behind and sides of the AH atm. Decided to do my first relic and this only zone at the moment giving me troubles. (LOL at windy....I'd rather farm money for that currency then do that god forsaken zone...)

You would find more luck farming other zones such as Qufim. A good thf/dnc can easily rack up 300+ currency in new gear in Qufim around 100 per currency type.

Or try your hand at leveling Dnc and going with no sub and aiming for white procs.

I tried farming city zones but the randomness of the links and not always getting a ja proc mob slows down currency yield.

Bastok TEs are kinda annoying, especially if you're soloing. Well tbf all cities TEs suck, except maybe Sandy.
Any reason in particular why you're farming Bastok?
If you're just farming a relic I suggest something else.

I solo/lowmen farmed I think 3+ relics in Dynamis back in the days, I think I've done a lot of runs with very different setups.
Premise: I'm not a particularly super player who aims for 100% efficiency. When I went to Dyna I usually favoured something that allowed me to relax.

With that being said, from my experience old zones are worth only if you have a setup and camping a zone where you can reliably kill NMs several times. And I mean several.
That way your chances to get the occasional HQ coin go up and it becomes worth. I think this works particularly well in Xarcabard, sometimes you'd walk out with over 600 coins, my best was 983 I think but that was an unbelievable night.
Xarc and Beauc used to be good also for the Forgotten items, usually more expensive than the other 3 ones.
Tavnazia is also very awesome if you have a couple of friends and you're the only people in zone.

Personally my favourite farming zone remains Dynamis - Valkurm.
Easy mobs, easy camps, easy stones. Overall it's the zone where I could relax the most, I hardly had to watch what was goin on my screen.
I imagine these days with SoA gear things are even easier because you can reliably farm DC mobs (what used to be DC, let's say) and get better drops.

These zones are completely dead is one reason and I needed couple AFs which I have now. I use to do Xarc before I first quit. Got about 150 more or less currency a run (Gimp BST at the time like everyone else lol) which is what I get now or more with random 100 piece.

Maybe I'll try Qufim again or give Valkurm a chance. Think I went once but went horrible lol. What are the good camps there again? Gobbue I heard I think.

Pet jobs can get the TEs in Bastok solo, but other jobs have trouble (specifically with the Alchemy Guild one). IIRC, I did:
    * AH one is never a problem
    * Go to the ones on the stairs towards Zeruhn Mines, wait for a clean pull
    * Head towards the Alchemy Guild on the top floor, picking up the TE. This one is surrounded by monsters, but they're weak so it's not so bad.
    * Head to the Dark Knight quest house (I think) where the TE is basically only guarded by a single NM. Pull whichever of them is clean and kill it before the second. Procs don't affect 100 drop rates, so the only reason to do TE first is for defense.
    * Go to the Alchemy guild. For this one, I had my WHM/THF mule put up Reraise and pull the TE, training everything up the stairs. I'd pull the TE off him using my main and kill it in the alleyway. I have seen BSTs just blow a sheep on this, and I imagine SMNs and PUPs could do approximately the same thing. For solo THF/DNC... I'd just put Reraise up, build TP on crap mobs, open the fight with SA/Evisc (or something), and make absolutely sure that you make it to the alleyway before you die.

Also, you will always want to have Reraise in Bastok. The sound aggro from Quadavs is a bit glitchy and I've definitely aggroed lower-floor mobs from the top floor. If there's no one else there, use the camp behind the AH.

The good paths (at least for the old EP mobs) in Valkurm are two imho:
    1) Hyppos > Goob > Fung >
    2) Trees > Puktraps > Sheeps

First is much better of course but it's usually more camped. When you have competition you'll get more coins from the second path because of the lower comp.
I think these days with SoA gear you should kinda aim for DC mobs though? And they are positioned in a different way.

For as White procing goes, what do you guys think is better. THF/DNC or going just DNC for chance at white? I do have DNC leveled and can gear just as fine as THF.

THF/DNC will serve you better on average.
You are at the mercy of the RNG with DNC/0 in Dyna.

Mercy of the RNG? What do you mean?

First time in Valkum, 2 100 pieces and 100 of each currency. Do say this is much better. Thank you everyone for your input

RNG = Random Numbers Generator, or something like this.

White proc on DNC is very rare. One time you get 3 whites during the same run, next you won't see any for the successive 5 runs.
You can kinda see it like a spike WS on a character with very low DPS (DNC/00) versus a character with lower spikes but more solid DPS (THF/DNC)

From my experience DNC/00 ain't worth it unless you're playing with someone else.

That's a little under what a decently geared THF should be making in Dyna.
If you have any delve/skirmish gear for your THF, you'll consistantly pull those results without the risk of DNC/00.

Decently geared THFs should be making over 500 currency per run?

Man, I must know some sucky thieves, then.

I know many people with good gear who sucked at dynamis. People who were not even bad players but just somehow sucked at farming currency, so yeah you probably do.

Yeah I know but was first time in zone and spent a little time figuring out one TE and finding the camps. Now I know where everything is and such, it'll be a lot better. Even tho it was low compared to better THFs or a group of people, it was still better then what I was doing in citys which is why I was happy with my first run as is.
