What's the go-to food choice with the advent of 2.1?
Wait... This can move you to tank if got hit by landslide?!
Sounds awesome!
I'll practice a bit how to play with this.
Next question - what is the acc capped required for BLM?
Seems like different job has diff capped limit?!
I read that some post above mention 445...
As for BRD need a minimum of 472...
coil: 432
I can't confirm it will work, since I don't have thm50. But it says it's an instant cast as opposed to casting time so it should work- just like how I can repelling shot through landslides, monks can charge back after getting hit by landslide, etc.
As for accuracy caps: there's a different cap for magical and physical. Magical is somewhere around 434 and physical is somewhere around 472. I've recorded a miss from our blm at 431 accuracy.
It'd work for all that as long as youre of course still in range of the tank when you hit the button. It's great for passing rot like previously said(depending on how your group does it), it's great for maximizing dps while everyones forced to run. Multiple uses during CT come to mind, like getting in extra nuked before meteor goes off and casting it a sec and a half before meteor actually strikes, then on the final boss the same deal after the claw dies and everyone sits on the platform, i like to stay out and nuke til the cast is at 60% or so then Manipulation to the party instantly.
Once on Garuda extreme i pulled hate on an add, but tornados were up so the add came through the tornado so i quickly targetted the offtank and teleported through the tornado and brought the add back without getting hit by the tornado, can use it to get into the spiny plumes circle, basically any time where you have to gather it works. I want to try it on Ultima too, see if i can teleport through multiple aetheric boom circles and see what happens.
Havent tried the other extreme primals yet but im excited to as blm for this move alone, it's just fun and helps get a few extra fires off. A couple extra fires worth of damage overall is probably more effective than all the gear youve been working on getting for the last few weeks. It's best to squeak out every last bit
I imagine it's nifty in Ifrit EX for getting back in position after running off Eruptions.
As a DRG it annoys me to no end that BLM warp and Shoulder Tackle are on 30s recast times but Spineshatter Dive is 90s.
Idc if they removed the Stun and and the damage entirely, I just want to get to the fkin mob and the recast is too damn long to do that on a regular basis (see: Ifrit EX, the recast is much too long for me to use it to get back to Ifrit after each Eruption).
Thanks for the answer !
I'll definitely put a note of acc in the bard post. (Acc wise)
This ability is fun !
I used it on Garuda, ppl are like wtf you bot ?!
lol
Stupid question, but I don't use AM nearly as much as I probably should: Are you invincible while moving? (In other words, can it be used to cross active plumes/eruptions/charging Ifrits safely?)
It's more like, despite the "travel time" you instantly arrive at the target location once you activate it and it goes through. I assume DRG's "move to location" jumps work similarly.
I warped thru Tornado without taking any dmg.
Although, the animation on your screen is like you are being pulled to the target.
You don't move the actual distance when using any of these kind of skills, you just teleport really.
Your position, as far as game mechanics are concerned, is only the start and end point.
Seems like there is a lot of difference of opinion on BiS still. I went with an semi old set up using this: http://ffxiv.ariyala.com/LFYV
That puts me at
Int: 495
Acc: 451
Crit: 470
Det: 228
Spd: 514
Vit: 358
Pie: 241
Not sure what I would change.
less acc. 451 is way too much
What's everyone rotation now after 2.1 for
Boss // Single-target // Aoe ?
I forgot about manawall shenanigans. Why have I not leveled black mage yet.
a fellow blm told me about it, and i quote "We had only 1 healer, a tank, and him up. About 1 percent, he was targeted. popped it, and went to hard-casting flare. everyone flipped out. landslide hit... and he casted it, convert/quickcast, flare again, win. I had an erection."
I abuse the fuck out of my manawall. I'm really bad about using AM though, I did try to set it up like a macro from XI to be something like /ac "AM" <Tank's Name> but that wouldn't work, and I find actually running away faster than selecting someone to AM. I guess if I set a healer on my bottom of PT list it wouldn't be too difficult, but I usually keep the tank there for e4e and random apoctostasis.
As far as a boss rotation I use:
Thunder2, fire3, fire1, raging strikes, burn all my fires until I'm 300mp-ish while burning all my FS procs and thunders (I use 300 mp as my guideline because I obviosly can't cast fire with that much mp left and after i burn all the possible fires I can, thats what i'm left with. works perfectly for me) swiftcast, Flare, convert, fire1, then blizz3, followed by another thunder2. Rinse repeat. For single target, it depends how fast it will die. If they won't live that long I usually don't bother thundering them. AoE I can't imagine would be much different. I just fire3, fire2 spam until I'm about too low to cast again which leaves me with enough mp to flare. Depending what I'm doing though I usually don't double flare, but like anything in this game shit's situational.
If I'm wrong somebody correct me as I'm curious if there's something better.
