Best general strat is when MT soldier pops open move as many DD to OT side as you feel comfortable and let the PLD + spare DD finish off soldier. You'll have to find that balance for your party.
The Phase 3 Dread is the real DPS check. If you can kill it before Phase 4 starts, you have enough dps to clear the rest. Its all a matter of strategy and tatics at that point.
Also once MT set is cleared the SCH can help dps also by casting Dots on soldier and using Bane to pass it to Knight. I learned that somewhere on these forums and it works wonders to shave off time. Make use of ShadowFlare also when possible. In cleric, it can deal 70/tick for 30 sec.
It should go without saying but make sure people are buffing properly. Your OT should be popping Sword Oath and your 3 physicals using B4B/etc. Tell one of the BRDs to Foe Requiem too, it's a big buff to your BLM without reducing his own damage. Other BRD should drop song if you still have issues and repop it for next phase.
Finally cleared this tonight. Got stuck last week because I was sick for most of the week and then had GREs so we couldn't do it.
So excited that it's finally done. Will post video once DRG gets back as Tyche's video is fucking awful. We did it differently than most of the strats in here. We burned down wave 5 DN while OT held mobs before wave 6 DN drops then we had DRG + BRD tank a knight, BLM kite a soldier, and OT tank knight + soldier + rook while I tank 2 stack wave 6 DN.
Very fun.
ballsy
My video is fucking good, quality wise. I'm just staring at a dreadnaughts ass for 75% of the fight, so there's quite literally little to nothing to see.
Thanks again for all the help guys!
Weird strat but if it works it works, grats on the clear!
get benched for BLM
BLM dies
they clear it anyways
just sitting here masturbating
Probably had more fun masturbating![]()
We feed 1 bug and DPS LBs the rook. Just go with whichever works for you. Feeding bugs means more damage on MT whilst not feeding means more on OT.
I tank both Dreadnaughts, the SMN Swiftcasts Titan, tanks the rook while we burn down the Dreadnaught. Then the Rook dies from SMN dots, the BRD feeds both bugs to the new Dreadnaught, we kill the Knight, Soldier, then finally the new Dreadnaught.
I've only actually seen Override tick once. Seems to be the fastest way to do it. We usually leave LB as a massive crutch for the healers just in case Override ticks at all and they need an oh shit button.

we have our 2 BRD feed spiders, MNK LB rook, BLM nuke rook as well, rook died within 5 sec, then all DPS finish killing dreadnaught, then soldier>knight>last dreadnaught.
I thought he was a member of your coil group?
He is a member of his coil group, he just forgets who I am on the forum.
Something about concussions from taking so much more damage than PLDs

I asked in LS chat a while back but found a vid so I figured I'd ask here as well. How viable is this for a lower dps party?
You would just need to attempt and see your damage. There's a point where you're simply not geared for turn four, but there's no way to know if that strategy will work just because you have less DPS than their group. Tbh, if you're doing what they did (Notice the hory spam), I doubt DMG is an issue if you're meeting the minimum DPS check. You need to supplement the spam with ballads if your WHM requests, but that's a dramatic damage increase for your PT (240 potency DMG).
