I would normally agree and 99% of the places I visit, I wouldn't joke. But BG has held absolutely nothing sacred (I tried making this argument once myself) and honestly, some people just cope better about tragedies like this when they can joke about it.

When I was a young white male going into DC to see a show, me and my young white friends driving in mom's Camry ALWAYS got lost and ended up in Anacostia. It's like if you are a teenager, all roads in DC go to Anacostia.

Yeah I went to a few shows at Nation (I think it was called Nation? We saw Interpol and I think the Strokes too) and we definitely got lost in the hood more than once. Every block was chicken joint > liquor store > pawn shop just over and over again. And not the friendly Chumlee kind.
