The real problem with the 2012 draft wasn't Trent, it was obviously Weeden. It committed them to 2-3 years of waiting to see if he's their franchise quarterback (spoiler alert: he isn't) and they're wasting the careers of young, productive players in the meantime, especially on defense. The value of a 1st for Trent isn't my problem, it's the fact that they've been playing the long game for eternity and I'm fucking sick of it. There's no reason Trent couldn't have been a contributor on the next winning Browns team, and now with no threat of Trent, defenses are going to tee off on Weeden/Hoyer/Campbell/whoever the fuck even more and the whole season will be a bloodbath. I'm tired of seeing bloodbaths.
Sorry if I got emotionally invested in the guy but Jesus fucking Christ I'm so sick of the Browns and their ineptitude.
