    Healing on a PS3 controller in late/endgame

Trying to get to Scholar right now, healing has been relatively easy in 4-man parties. But later on when things get hectic in a Full Party, how does a PS3 controller stand up to it? You'll be having to press up or down a maximum of 4 times to get to whoever you want to heal, and that's not even factoring in AoE heals, spot heals etc.

I've heard about some locking function you can use on the tank...can you place more than one lock?

I'm not even starting to think about raids. Should I press on and try to heal as best as I can or just give up and play another class?

I hear micro-management and placement of your fairy is a bitch on controller. Shouldn't be too hard with whm I imagine though.

You can /focustarget <t> your tank then have macros that target your <focus> or just cast on them directly (/ac "physick" <focus>).

I play with a controller too and yea healing can be a bit cumbersome in 8 man parties with having to scroll through the party list.

Tho I'd say I prefer SCH due to that limitation as the fairy essentially helps pick up the slack, like the DDs taking some damage from AoE get taken care of by the fairy or your own AoEs allowing you to focus on the tank.

You wouldn't know that though because you've demonstrably never picked up a book nor educated yourself on the matter. Let me guess, overweight housewife?

One thing to note, you can order the list in your party menu. I tend to group the tanks at the top and dps at the bottom since they tend to get hit the most.

I actually prefer to heal on controller, as my Cure/Stoneskin/Swiftcast/etc. are normally in consistent cross-class locations that are not suited to spamming in an intense battle while dodging, and I have major muscle memory issues when trying to move the key healing abilities. I can eliminate those muscle memory issues by using a gamepad; I have healing actions on xhb set 2, fairy commands on set 3, everything else on set 1.

Plus, keyboard hotbar commands persist in gamepad mode, so my DoT muscle memory from ACN still works just fine when needed.

I remember hearing about this at some point but wasn't sure if it was a suggestion or a request or something, how do you do it?

Go to the party list via menu, click on a name and move it up or down to reorder it. Don't need to use extra options, it's a basic click function.
