so, just watched season8 ep1 and Ted is at the train station talking to old woman who says he looks like he just came from a wedding, then presumed mother shows up in cab with guitar and yellow umbrella, so we have to wait till the wedding is over and Ted is leaving? on the train and not in his car? they still haven't met? this is going to be a long season.... lol

Seasons are roughly 22 episodes and we're only 4 episodes in. So... 18 more episodes to go?

Personally, I'm enjoying the season so far. But I want more "mother" in the show. When Lily was trying to get Robin to make friends with a girl, I thought they were gonna introduce the mother to her in that moment, considering the mother apparently meets everyone before she eventually meets Ted. But alas, the show kept it somewhat unpredictable in that way.
