I remember him from House (the PI that House hired to spy on... Cuddy?). Didn't know he did Broadway though.

He played the guy House met in the mental hospital when House admitted himself to get off the Vicodin. He then made a couple appearances when House and Wilson were feuding, painted House's... house, and then disappeared again driving House to get back onto the meds because yet another person abandoned him (albeit, this time wasn't because House was being a dick)

I agree, it was really solid all the way through. And I was honestly starting to get kind of annoyed with how Barney was acting up until the big reveal.

I noticed that too pretty immediately. But I didn't know why or what it was covering up. So while it was giving something away, I was still as pleasantly surprised as to what actually ended up happening

That was probably my favorite episode of the season, with the one before a close second. Hope they keep this up.

With more of "Mother's" screen time, I'm more and more reminded of the Seinfeld episode when Jerry started dating a girl that was basically himself in every aspect, except for gender. So Ted's soulmate is basically himself with a vagina, except... Ted is a vagina.
