Got that myself yesterday, I was going to mine Thanalan Topsoil and Sewer Syrup was chilling nearby, hopped out of my choco, changed job and started killing it... lo and behold I get a tell from someone telling me "You can't solo Hunt mobs, reset or die" (he was a WHM) when it was around 30% he started to hit it as well, guess he though I wasn't going to die lol.

Dude proceeded to call me a greedy bastard, apparently only some members of his party made it to the last 20%~ and didn't get full reward, yeah, like I'm going to wait for your party to get there on a B so I don't get shit for contribution, who's the greedy one here? If I see a B I'm going to kill it like it or not, they're meant to be soloed.

I've never understood certain people's aversion to STR tanks. Surely "mob taking more damage = mob dieing quicker = you taking less damage overall" is vastly superior to "An absurd amount of HP that only Enrages/2hrs/Ultimates can dent"

when 2.0 first hit I dumped all mine into STR cause I never ran into anything that 1 shot me at that point. I was laughed at and made fun of until I switched to full VIT. "Man you have so much HP that's crazy..." I know my HPenn so large right now :3

I've rocked str for a while after some bg thread questions and talking with my healers. If they can heal my WAR when I rock STR accessories and STR spec then why the fuck not. The only fight I can recall right now not using STR accessories on was Ifrit Ex because fuck his incinerate. STR WAR just requires more attention and like 90% of your pugs aren't going to pull it off. You really need to time your inner beasts and CDs. If you can do it, it's fuckign godly. I flaunt it every time I nail a 1.5k butchers

for the STR spec argument, it's more noticeable on WAR because you're the viable OT who can apply slashing resistance minus and take off defiance but even when MTing you have unchained. Shit's free damage basically and I would never shun that away unless the healers were straining to keep your ass up.

I promptly told them to go kill themselves after we wiped to the first boss because they let the adds that usually die in like 5 fucking seconds run rampant and kill everybody, on top of nobody hitting a banana tree (which in my experience has never been my fucking job, because I've never even needed to do it more than once).
