What cracks me up even more is the people that have blacklisted Ketchup and Waka on Hyperion over this shit. This is just another case of how fucking soft society has gotten. If you're not there, that's your problem. Nobody owes you anything to wait for you, they're open world notorious monsters that spawn very often, it's yor choice to spend your time grinding that shit. I never pull on Hunt mobs as I don't mind waiting but people getting salty about early pulls are ridiculous. The majority of people 'Hunting' rely on Guildwork and/or their party members rather than doing anything themselves. You usually end up with 2-3 people actually looking for shit and 5-6 sat around at the crystal with their thumb up their ass until Guildwork or a party member notifies them.

And it's generally the ones sat around doing fuck all that cry about early pulls because they didn't get there in time due to be being afk/tabbed out/whatever. On Ragnarok at least you make it to probably 90-95% of mobs if you set off when the Guildwork notification goes off.

The #1 way to get better at hunts isn't Guildwork or using Radar. It's ponying up and buying a SSD. My success rate at getting full credit for hunts went up so much once it didn't take me 5 years to switch zones.

A LARGE chunk of the Hyperion population knows his name and associates it with negativity. Even the people who don't have him blister have heard from their "cousins friends sisters exboyfriends brother" that he has a bad reputation and so that's why crap happens to him. (Rata)

I was in a party finder the other day with some random people I've never even seen before and apparently a hunt spawned and some guy says something to the effect of "Get there fast before someone pulls a Ketchup Chips". It's a really widespread bad rep, mostly over hunts.

It's a double edged sword, it's cool that the community developed this network of communication for open world content. However, it's awful because shit like this happens. The shit is perpetuated by how lazy and entitled society has become, especially gamers. Everyone wants instant gratification, and everyone wants a reward even for losing.

Now I feel like an old man ranting about how kids these days have gotten soft, I'm only in my 20's. But seriously, enough of this face roll shit (Hunts, Crystal Tower), and we'll have less problems because the cry babies won't have any power.

Ya know, people say that, but why? Casual content is fine, but it can't be casual content forever...fuck, I understand trying to build an accessible game to get subscribers, but they've already done that. They're launching their first expansion after a hugely successful rerelease of a game. They had a core group who played 1.0 when it wasn't casual and its a disservice to those players to not give them more "hardcore" content. (Disclaimer: I only played 1.0 for 3-4 months after release.)

Meh SE doesn't owe any one group of players anything imo. It's their game. If we dun like it we should go play something else. You can never please everyone but if you yourself are not pleased with the game then move along. It's not worth the headache to clamor on for change from a group in the vast minority in a video game.
