Not much there that isn't fail.
Let me guess, that's because he's a flame right?!
THEN! (nevermind, page fail)
Really need a beginner's hall or proving grounds, something to show you're competent before you're allowed out into the wild.
I've read about the proving grounds thing from WoW.
Like a lot of other things the more I learn about stuff that's in WoW but not XIV the more annoyed I become, if they're gonna steal shit from WoW steal the useful shit please.
I know what's obvious there (this time, derp) but what bugs me more is the 2 Spirits and 9 CoS the whole fight.
At least it was in Sword Oath I guess.
On the subject of random fails: what's the keyboard command to expand the chat log fullscreen (select, then triangle on PlayStation)?
It can be done on the keyboard using the Numpad controls, but if you remap your keys then all bets are off. No shortcut for it.
You need to set a key for Triangle under gamepad buttons or something, like I have it as Shift+Y so I just click onto my chat log-ish and shift+Y.
You could also set spacebar to it since Triangle also makes you jump.
I don't want to know but they finished the run at like 230dps. Curiosity got the better of me and.... they only used 14 Blizzard III over the entire run, 4 of which were cancelled. Only ONE on the first boss and only TWO were cast on the 2nd boss (as pictured in chatlog).
My brain hurts now.
How many blizzards? It's like they're having AF3 run out somehow while "dodging" and not having mana for bliz3 or something but that's retarded.
So, I know this is the random fail thread where we laugh at people. I get that. But you don't seriously expect the response to "oh, you're clueless and have no idea how to play this game" to be "how can I improve my performance, good sir?"
I mean, if your goal is just to put him on blast and get some chuckles, then cool. But if you actually want him to change what he's doing, then you should probably work on your soft skills.
If he somehow isn't aware that that F3/B3 move you directly to the opposite AF3/UI3 (and don't just cancel the existing stack like tier 1 and 2 spells), then it's easy to explain.
F3 to AF3, F1s until low MP
B1 to cancel AF3 (cheapest MP cost!), B3 to UI3
At full MP, F1 to cancel UI3 (again, cheapest MP cost), F3, more F1s
