It is something, it's the lead in.
I...uhhh, yeah. That's about it.

Since I didn't make any friends (cuz lolfriends with pixels in a MMO)Since Hyperion is a place of crybabyBut I continued doing my shit, because most people that complained were people that either
a) Don't scan and just wait for it to be called)
b) MoronsYou're right, it's probably everyone else.At that time I still didn't had T13 wins, because I refused to gimp myself to please other groups. (Tired of people asking me to gimp myself, instead of asking their players to get better) (Aka groups were asking me not to nuke because WHM didn't want to solo heal first part of T13 and all that dumb shit).
I don't remember saying it was everyone else
Nailed it!
Spoiler: show
I'm an FFXIV noob still. I've been playing for maybe a month and have only leveled paladin (i120 atm) and DoL/DoH jobs, so I try not to judge.
Still, I had a share-worthy Amdapor Keep (hard) last night with a healer so bad that our group was her fourth attempt at the dungeon. I'm fine with explaining stuff, failing a few times (failure penalty in this game is a joke), etc., but wow. At one point I pulled 5 mobs with Rampart up, positioned them under a flailing vine, and then popped Sentinel with 70% HP remaining. The monsters just meleed me to death. I honestly didn't even go for Hallowed Ground because I assumed a cure would come at some point, but no dice. It's fortunate that most of the mechanics in the zone are coordinated by DPS instead of the healer, because otherwise I think we would have been her fourth group to vote abandon.
That is really bad indeed
Last night in Copperbell (Hard) I had a PLD with less HP than my Fairy.
I enjoy playing BLM and SMN, but Byrth's experience is why I often play WHM. It puts me in a position to prop up those inevitable lousy parties long enough to clear whatever it is we're doing. It's no FFXI RDM, but it's good enough for me. That and the queue times ain't bad either!
I believe SCH is the mathematically purest job for DR Expert.
- can prop up even the gimpiest tanks with beefy adlo shields
- can heal like a boss if you get a good party that can pull everything to each wall
- can switch to Selene and DPS good enough to push bad DPS groups forward at a medium pace
- healer queues are acceptable
Should have just stuck to healing like the rest of DF healers.
Fail #1 - I scared off a PLD tank because as a SCH I have no protect and I was trying to get her to skip some adds in Copperbell HD
Fail #2 - Replacement tank comes in, laughs/confused that i do not have protect. Casts protect himself, but is happy to tank in sword oath
PRIORITIES
Tanking Copperbell Hard in Sword Oath is win, not fail.
There are SCHs out there who won't level CNJ. I partied with a SCH in FCoB who didn't have SS.
Don't you have to actually have level 15 CNJ to even do the SCH quest, thus already having protect? I don't even know what other crossclasses you would have over protect anyways...
Oh I shoot for Cleric > Aero > Blizzard 2 > Swiftcast > Stoneskin
More aoe DPS
Protect used to be where Blizzard 2 was until I realised that SMN use Blizzard 2 for AoE when targets are more than 3. So I copied it! Unrealised potential. I'm happy with this; with shit DPS I can make more DPS. With good DPS I can make some pulls even more faster!
With a low ilvl tank, 1 embrace and psyhick will fully heal them lol.
edit: it's ok, at level 55 I will have an extra slot for protect. Look forward to it!
Afaik we aren't getting more cross-class slots with increased level (and if we did it would be 1 more at 60, not 55).
