Outside of achievement points, I use to stay capped. Recently been buying a shit load of ventures/sending on shard crystal missions and quick missions. As well teleport tickets. That shit adds up quickly.

Same, I always stay capped and they are awesome for ventures. Of course this is FFXIV and the points will go from 4k to 40k or there will be a new form of currency for anything we'd actually want.

Is there any benefit for achievements? I guess the others didn't concern me much since I found poetic farming to go faster spamming Hullbreaker, I never crafted that much, and I already had gear I liked for my glamour.

Are you asking if there's any purpose behind those achievements? There's a couple titles, I guess. If that matters to you.

Achievements are for those who don't do anything outside of the game or completion sake. 375/500 s ranks and 450~/1000 b ranks remaining hunt wise for myself.

Multi-wipe-fest ensues because people can't do the last phase. In a group of randoms, it is best not to leave things to chance. The numbers work. You are not too good for the numbers. Even farm groups use the numbers.

First time hearing about this highest HP stuff. It would work on the same principle and I understand it, so no big deal to me. 1st highest max HP being 1, 2nd highest max HP being 2, etc. but it really didn't seem like the randoms understood it. Neat idea, but they gon' fuck up tethers anyways. It's also really nice to have a visual indicator on-screen if you happen to be 3 or 4 and 1 or 2 get blue balled or tethered. I still like the numbers better due to this.
