What the fuck!? Hahahaha
Must have been spamming HT > RoT...
What's wrong with marking targets in a dungeon? I was doing this while leveling my Warrior ._.
Edit: How/why the fuck did that drg only do the T-V-F rotation once??!?! And how/why did he clearly rarely finish his I-D-C rotation? That's just.... all sorts of god awful.
I mean, ignoring all the glaring other shit, like barely using jumps, not using BotD and it's 2 combo extenders or leg sweep or whatever else. At least finish your basic fucking combos =/
I mean, I can understand at level 50/60 when you're just blitzing through a roulette. But my Wa... Marauder is only level 28 lol
Personally ignore all markers because it literally doesn't matter in dungeons.
I usually start on the 2 mark, pop a cd then save my big hit for 3 mark. When teh mob aggros me I just work on 1 while the tank tries to get 3 back 1 is on me
I just slap a 1 marker on shield lob and use that for marking stuff I want killed first, after that, go nuts as I've flashed/spread out my enmity combo out enough times to establish hate. But seriously, fuck you guys if you don't kill the thing that final stings/gives out vuln. up or some other shitty debuff.
What? The only reason to mark targets is if there's a monster that's clearly more dangerous than the rest. Otherwise just...do things and you'll keep hate. Marking every single mob is stupid and wastes time, especially because it indicates that the tank is either too lazy, stupid or incompetent to get hate on more than 1 thing at a time.
So... get better. Unless you're actually dealing with a 50 ilvl deficit there's no reason to mark shit (and alternatively stop being a gimp and dragging everyone down with your shitty equipment).
Good god, this. Have you tried explaining this to OF users?. Nevermind, I think their spokesperson has arrived.
Edit:
Stop, please. Any tank without a keyboard full of drool can easily out threat 2 dps beating on 2 different mobs even with a massive ilevel difference.
Also, ilevel sync is a thing you know?
The tanking meta evolved. Originally you marked targets when the game was at it's infancy and tanks didn't realize they have such an astronomically high enmity advantage over other roles and DPS didn't realize AoE damage is pretty good.
There's no point in marking targets because if DPS is smart they'll focus down a target and Tanks should be holding hate on everything regardless. It's also completely pointless if you're doing large pulls.
The answer you seek lies in that quote (and even then you still suck, come on hate is stupid easy to get).
Obviously trying to look cool is more important than being able to read and luckily you fail at both. And yeah, I'll level a tank from 50-60, party with a BLM, not mark a thing and tell you what an idiot you are. In about 3-4 weeks when I get around to it.
Until that time I suggest you practice not marking stuff and stop sucking.
Obviously you never played a tank. How can I keep hate on two different mobs if switching target interrupts combos? I don't tell you how to do your job, don't tell me how to do mine.
Guys lol. It's a joke.
Spoiler: show
This never happened. Or rather, I didn't find it acceptable back then either.
The only thing you're doing right is posting in the appropriate thread.
There isn't any situation where you need to mark mobs in dungeons. Marking a priority target with #1 can be fine in very specific cases, but really, you don't want to be the guy that's condoning the use of marks for every dungeon pull.
Learn to tab better, or alternatively if that's too hard just keep on mashing that Flash/Overpower/Unleash key because that's still not as bad as telling your group that you can't tank.
If we're dealing with a 50 ilevel deficit then it probably doesn't matter who's tanking: at this point I'd tell the new tank to just do whatever he wants. I can't speak for others but seeing marks being used by a minimum ilevel tank in pre-ilevel sync AK/WP never stopped me from tanking everything on my DPS/healer classes.
I usually mark one, two, and three. But I never take time doing it. It's done while I'm running in or while I'm fighting it. Also if my gladiator can hold hate against multiple targets before the flash buff, nobody has an excuse for losing hate. It's so easy.
