People in DF/PF tend to lose their shit if no one is in the Walker in my experience. Had a group where the healers and tanks just stopped doing anything once they realized no one was in the walker, and immediately left after we wiped. Otherwise, people start getting worked up about it to the point where people probably figure it's better to just do it and ensure things go smoothly.

I found the gobwalker to be crucial in low/potato DPS groups. The vulunerability down debuff can do wonders!

The vuln down from the walker won't work on any mobs with the physical defense buff from the whatshisname gob.

I just realized today that retainers can level up to 60. I thought they couldn't because I kept getting "retainer is at max level" message on venture return, but I realized it's because they're notPLD and notWHM respectively, and I haven't levelled up either of those jobs above 50.

I did a "The Vault" and the other DPS was a BRD. The guy had the bow & 2-3 pieces of gear droped in this dungeon so I was not worried. During the last boss he got "Holy chained" to me like 3 times, during these times I would try to get away from him and he would chase me around that square area.. We nearly died but it was funny.

Don't you also get some kind of vuln stack during/after the orbs phase?
My memory of that trial is fairly dim.

If you get hit with a Red Orb too late in the phase, you'll still have a +Magic Damage vulnerability, and you'll take a shitload of damage (or that's my best guess at what I guess happens, in the few times that's happened to me)

I've done that fight probably a few dozen times by now and I can't say I've ever seen that happen before.....

Even in the pic I took of the log it shows the magic vuln effect wearing off before he casts (the whole SS, not the one I posted), I guess it just wore after the damage was confirmed or something.

There is a ton of stuff like that in the game.

You see that a lot using stuff like sacred soil (ignoring that it takes time for sacred soil to buff a player in the first place), the damage will often show up long after how much damage it was going to hit for was calculated.

You had vuln down when the move finished casting so you took extra damage. Doesn't matter if the vuln down wore off before the damage hit. It's like stepping away from titan's land slide when the hit marker vanishes.. when he finally uses that move you're gonna get hit no matter where you are.

Puting their Rook Turrets on him, poping things such as Salted Earth on him etc, and /sh'ing shits (including sexual and racist things.) I am so ashamed of Ragnarok, I alway believed this server was full of idiotic people, today proven it.
