So I have had like 10 stacks of gold ores (with 3 HQ) sitting in my inventory for a long time (2months+.) Yesterday I finaly decided to do something with them instead of selling them because the price dropped hard on rag. I changed them all into Rose Gold Nugget HQ because I figured that the people selling them on my server are being idiotic with their price selling them x99 for 1500-1900gils per, which also got me from GSM 55 to 56.

I have been Lv60 MIN since week 2 of HW and today I just discovered what an Handful of Aurum regis sand is.. they're used with Gold ore to make Aurum regis nuggets.. which give me 22k exp a pop & which sell for 9k per NQ on the server. I guess I made my eyes bleed so much on the OF lately that I can't even see something as obvious as a gathering log. >.>; I probably would have had enough gold ore to just sit & quick synthesise my way up to 60. fml.
