PLD's DPS numbers are abyssmal as a MT in comparison to WAR/DRK. Sword Oath is a ~40% DPS increase from Shield Oath. WAR and DRK can push in burst DPS as a MT while that's pretty much impossible for PLD. Unless you need Hallowed, PLD is more suited as an OT.

In addition to what Carth said, you also can't(in my experience) be as consistent with Royal/Goring, which is in itself a massive DPS loss.

I love tanking, and I know PLD isn't really a dealbreaker in 99% of content, but I always aim to bring the group down as little as possible, and that pretty much always means OTing

You mean to tell me there's another person out there that puts their ACT overlays directly over top of the target and focus bars?

As a WAR I don't give a shit whether I main tank A3 normal or OT it. My DPS is literally identical in either situation. Generally I opt to MT since it's unlikely the other tank will manage above 300 dps unless he's OTing.

Logged in & was quite happy to see the changes made to Blood Weapon, so I talked about it in FC & said what I said in the complaint thread about the Reprisal thing.

That new FC member who joined like 4 days ago felt like arguing with me on the difference between DRK & WAR.

So unless I went through a worm hole overnight during my sleep & jumped 3months in the future, did I miss something?

I checked the guy after, his highest job is PLD50, followed by DRK48 & his MRD is lv22. But now I am in doubt, have I done it wrong & DRK utility/DPS is now superior to WAR OT utility/DPS?

Edit: I Erased the names cause its not a nice thing to post FC members, but fyi I am the one arguing that reprisal triggering condition are not logicals.
